I will never be back 2/3/2011

First of all , I only when there to see my Dr. who had moved over there from my old Dr.'s office. Something got mixed up with the appointment time and I had to reschedule. Instead of setting me up with my DR. they had me see the nurse practitioner the next day, she is not a Dr. anyway she could not help me because she did not know enough about the issue I went to see my Dr. for. She told me she would not charge me for the visit because of that. However she set me up to come back for some blood work. I came back two weeks later and they wanted to do some extensive physical I opted for the blood test only since that was all I needed. I WAS charged for the first visit, and never did see my Dr. Then I was informed that my Dr. had either left, or was sick and could not see me and there was no other Dr. that could help me with my issue I had to talk to three people there to have my blood test results sent to my old doctor, finally after being told by two people previously that they would send them, Amber in the billing department finally helped me, it turned out that I had to sign something which neither of the two people before her mentioned. My test results would have NEVER been sent, tests that I paid for that revealed something was not right. l will be seeing my old qualified Dr. on Monday and will never be back to WFP. more

Run fast from Warner Family Practice-they only care about $$ 9/1/2010

RUN FAST from Warner Family Practice!! I was a patient for over 7 years and was never satisfied. I never had any major health problems (until now), but my feeling is they really only care about money. They make you schedule an appt for ANY prescription refills now, which is deplorable.\r The doctor that I had seen all these years is Dr. Irene DeLorenzi. She doesn't care about her patients as I've experienced over the last 7 years. She is in and out and doesn't listen to you. I recently have had some major symptoms of a thyroid condition. The labwork confirmed that and she stated she felt it was nothing to worry about and refused any further testing. That made me switch doctors immediately! Symptoms and family history alone should have made her run more tests. So far, I have found out I have a nodule (growth) on my thyroid, have hypothyroidism, and possibly a heart condition. If I had stayed, what would have happened? RUN! And if you're a current patient, switch to ANY other practice! I have switched to Dr. Keith Ginsberg, who is AMAZING and spends at least 30 min with me every appointment. more

Warner Family Practice - Great medical care!! 2/25/2009

I've only been a patient for going on two years, but each experience to date has been above my expectations. Visiting medical facilities has never been my favorite pastime, but when/if the need arises; I prefer to be treated by people who care. At Warner Family Practice, I get that. Thanks to the great staff that always makes me feel very well taken care of. Pros: Close to home, nice staff, good doctors. Cons: n/a more

I was very disturbed to see the negative reviews recently written about WFP. I have been a patient of Dr. Turner for several years and have never had a problem scheduling an appointment within a reasonable timeframe. Nor have I ever felt the slightest trepidation in asking questions concerning my health. Dr. Turner has always answered my questions respectfully, without a single sign of impatience or rude behavior. Personally, I do not feel that the new prescription policy should be looked at so negatively, and am in complete agreement with thomas5576. Any medications prescribed to a patient SHOULD be closely monitored to ensure long term damage does not occur. Medications can be just as harmful as they can be helpful. I have no intention of changing my healthcare provider, especially when they actually take an interest in how their patients are progressing, rather than just prescribing medications at the patients' convenience. Pros: Quality care, friendly and helpful staff ... what more do you want?! Cons: On occaision my appt. has started late ... but this is typically caused by patients that do not arrive on time, causing the entire schedule to run late. more

Warner Family Practice cares about their patients well being. 2/24/2009

The new policy has the patients best intrest in mind! With the amount of prescription medication abuse that is out there it is refreshing to see a doctors office that will keep the health of their patients in mind. It is really easy to just hand out prescriptions to people to keep them happy. W.F.P's new policy ensures that patients perscriptions are kept current and relevant, the amount of medication needed can change in the course of a few weeks or months. The new policy makes it necesary for the patients to have regular checkups to make sure the perscription doesn't need to be modified. Warner Family Practice's main concern is keeping their patients healthy, NOT just handing out perscriptions like they are candy. The problems you are complaining about have to do with your dislike of taking responsibility for your own health, all you want is for somebody to take care of it all for you so you dont have to be bothered. As for Dr. Turner, he is a very caring man who is very concerned for the health and well being of not only his friends and family, but for all of his patients also. If he seems a little brash or cold maybe it is because you have not followed his advice or you are trying to tell him how to do his job. Every time I have seen Dr.Turner he has been very sincere and friendly. The young ladies at the front desk are also very polite and friendly, but at the same time professional, they brighten my day each time I visit the office. I know money is tight and more trips to the doctor might feel like a burden on your bank account, but if you neglect your health now, it will be way more expensive for you in the future.I wish people would complain less and take more responsibility. Pros: Caring Staff, Lovely Environment, Great Healthcare! Cons: Like most doctors offices, waiting room times are occasionally long. more

WARNER Family Practice - The GREATEST Show on Earth! 2/22/2009

I just got the same notice from Warner Family Practice today in my email. YES, they are greedy and RUDE. \r Their new policy is a SCAM just to get you into their office so that you will have to pay for ANOTHER office visit. It's not about your health... it's about your MONEY, and how much of it they can get from you. Pros: They are good at taking your money from you Cons: They are bad at providing quality health care because they are too concerned about (see above). more

Warner's Prescription Policy is a SCAM. Insurance won't pay! 2/22/2009

Here is a letter that I wrote to Warner Family Practice on 2/22/09\r \r We thank you for informing us of your new prescription policy. With the competition, and economic challenges that face the medical industry at present, your new policy will, no doubt, cause added cost, frustration, and overall inconvenience to your customers.\r \r Regretfully, your lack of demonstrated care and concern for your customer(s), through your new Prescription ""policy"", has caused us to terminated you as our primary care provider, effective immediately.\r \r For the convenience of your current and prospective customers your convenience, we will post your new prescription policy in our company newsletter, on our employee website, and on our employee bulletin board with the hope that our friends, families, and employees will boycott your business in light of your idiotic and inconvenient New Prescription ""policy"". Pros: It is close to home Cons: Wait time is 2 hours or MORE. They are RUDE! more

Jeffrey Lime is not an Allergist 3/30/2008

SCAM ALLERT- Warner Family Practice hired a PA (Physician Assistant) named Jeffrey Lime to treat their allergy patients. Only a Physician (MD or DO) who completed 3 yrs of residency in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine and an addition 2 years fellowship in Allergy/Immunology can refer to themselves as specialists. Jeff Lime only has 2 years of PA school. Beware, Jeff Lime is not an Allergist nor did he train at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has NO DO/physician training. He got his PA degree from Kirksville University but that is a separate school from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is not a professional allergist. He refers to himself as specializing in Allergies but he is no Allergist. more

Long waits, No appointments available when sick, Dr Turner is not friendly. 12/19/2007

Dr Turner does not have good people skills and is very unfriendly. To the point of being rude. He will not explain his findings with you if you are sick and acts like it bothers him if you ask. I had a splinter and called to make an appointment to have it removed. They told me they could not get me in for almost a week and a half. I said it could get infected by that time and they told me to go to urgent care. Of course this does not matter to his office because they do not have to spend the extra money for urgent care. His office begs you to do an annual physical only to tell you it has to be 6 months from now. By the time 6 months goes by you may forget about the appointment. They will not always call to confirm and if you miss your appointment set 6 months ago the charge you for the missed appointment. I would not recommend this doctor's office more
