Jones, Holly, Md - Houston Arthritis Assoc

I have been a patient of Dr Jones's in the past. Due to change in insurance I had to see a new doctor. I recently decided to go back to Dr Jones and pay cash to see her. No other doctor was as intelligent, as caring, and understanding as Dr Jones. I have been told by numerous doctors that my case was too complicated for them. Dr Jones wasn't afraid to dive in and take care of me. One visit and I already feel better. more

Dr. Jones is one of the best I've ever had. She's been treating my connective tissue disorder for 3 years. \r \r Matter of fact and tailors her discussions to your level of expertise and desire for details. She patiently listens to your description of symptoms and then asks questions. Notices physical gestures and asks detailed questions- pain, stiffness, hyper-extension, etc. I didn't have to point them out as problem areas.\r \r Doesn't over-prescribe or order tests that are not needed, but does insist upon routine screenings to ensure meds are being tolerated.\r \r Very flexible in working with your disease and with trying different treatment plans until you find one that works.\r \r Absolutely no problems experienced with using my PPO insurance. more

Dr. Rubin and Jones will not accept Medicare....BOO! They want cash up front. more

Dr. Jones is a pleasure to see. She is compitent and up todate on treatments for arthritis and lupus. She takes the time to sit and listen to your complaints. She is willing to try non medicated treatements as well as medication therapy for your aches and pains. She is a good doctor. Pros: Fantastic! and FREE PARKING when you bring your ticket to be stamped after seeing the doctor more

I had been to 3 other rheumatologists before seeing Dr. Rubin. The other 3 properly diagnosed 1 of my medical conditions; however, they did not pick up on the other 2 major contributing diseases. Each of my previous doctors put me on what they considered the ?time tested? medication for my autoimmune disease (Reiter?s Syndrome) and were not very informative or compassionate. I was a VERY healthy 34 year old at the time when my disease struck and was nearly bedridden after it took hold. I could get to work but it hurt! Dr. Rubin did many tests, asked deeper questions than I had previously experienced with the other doctors, invited my wife in to talk about options, and ultimately gave me my choice of our ?first? effort medication to get me better. Well, it worked! I went from days when I could hardly turn the water on, couldn?t squeeze the toothpaste out of the tube, couldn?t bend at the knee, couldn?t dress myself?to mountain biking, kayak fishing and working out at levels that I was at before this disease entered my body. This doctor has an amazing bedside manner and not only listens?but actually hears what you are telling him. If I lived 500 miles away, I swear I would pay for the flight to keep using Dr. Rubin as my rheumatologist. Dr. Jones is intelligent, competent, and easy to talk to. She is a good listener and takes your concerns seriously. The office environment is warm and inviting.
