I have used Jon for over 8 years. I really enjoy the personalized attention. He runs an exclusive salon. Very private. I have found him flexible about my hectic schedule. But most important is that he does a great job on my hair. more

I had a gift certificate for Jon Henderson Salon from my daughter (she is a client of his) and called the salon 09/17/2012. I talked to Jon himself (apparently he has no receptionist or assistant which should be the first red flag) and he made an appointment for me for 09/19/12 at 10:00 AM. I arrived on time and there was nobody in his salon - the office center where it is located lets you in ONLY if somebody in the office buzzes you in. I thought he could be a little late however a 15-minute wait brought no results. I left two messages: one on the intercom and another one on his answering machine. I honestly waited for 3 days before placing this review - everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. No phone call, no explanation, no apology, no invitation to come back again, no nothing. Although I am still puzzled (to put it mildly), this is so unprofessional and disrespectful that I have no words. Stay away from this salon at all costs. more

Best cut I've ever had! I've been searching for a new salon following bad color burns at two other high end establishments. I'm so glad I found Jon. Not only he is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, this guy knows hair. I can honestly say this is the best haircut I've ever had. I've received numerous compliments from friends and family on how much younger I look. It's amazing how well the cut and lowlights flatter my features. I really liked the intimacy of the salon, where I received Jon's full attention. At the end of a long day's work, it was a treat to be pampered by this master's hands. I already scheduled my next two appointments. Thank you, Jon! more

The Best in Houston! 12/4/2011

I have been going to New York City to get my hair cut and colored for the last 3 years. At last I have found a stylist that is as fabulous as my NY guy! John Henderson is outstanding! My hair was grown out and fuzzy because I had not been able to get to NY in time and the stylist I had tried here had not been great. I had planned to just have a hair cut, but as I listened to him talk about his suggestions for cut and color I decided to give him a try for color as well. Was I ever deligted! I looked 10 years younger, my hair still looked fabulous the next morning, and I have already made my next appointment. You will love Jon! more

Salon with the most personalized service 7/18/2011

I got a color and cut from a very creative professional - Jon Henderson. He is determined to make your cut one people will make sure to compliment. He picked out a perfect color for my hair, which is difficult with my olive skin tones. He also gave me wonderful asymmetrical cut - difficult because I have a ton of curly hair. My hair looks and feels great! more

The Best Colorist in Houston! 3/1/2011

Jon Henderson has been doing my hair for about 18 years. He has taken my hair to many new levels during these years. I can still remember when he first suggested that he do a one-process color in addition to highlights and lowlights. This is when the compliments began flowing almost daily! I work in a high end retail shop so am happy to tell people who does my hair. He does such beautiful color work, but his cuts are expertly done as well. I always leave his salon happy! His salon is very cool and he always gives me his full attention. Before closing, I must add a quick story... I was once in the middle of getting my hair colored by another well known colorist, when he told me that NO ONE could do color like Jon Henderson! He also added that Jon has an artistic eye for the perfect placement of color! As I sat there letting him finish my hair, I thought to myself, ""Then why am I here?!"" I never went back! more

Hair Extraordinaire! 8/24/2010

Jon is a true hair artist who has been extraordinarily transforming my look over the past 17 years. In my travels I?ve had to use some other stylists sporadically, but the results have never come close and I?ve always been relieved when Jon could fix their deficiencies. He has successfully taken me from long locks of fiery red to a short spiky platinum blonde (all in my ?youth?) and everything in between ? with cut and color perfectly complementing my features every time. I am now extremely happy with elegant and sophisticated softly/femininely layered hair in a beautiful brunette-auburn hue, highlighted to perfection. Whether your style is edgy, classic or feminine, one always feels like a goddess and/or a hair model when leaving Jon?s salon. more

Best stylist and colorist in Houston (or anywhere I've been) 8/14/2010

I found Jon Henderson about six years ago, thanks to Allure magazine. To be honest, I'd tried several of the ""best"" stylists and colorists in Houston (and Dallas and other cities), and I was always disappointed, until meeting Jon. He is truly incredible with hair, especially color. Beyond that, though, he's a wonderful person. None of that snooty attitude, he's incredibly kind and gracious. But the truth is, it's the hair that matters most, and he delivers. I had to move to the northeastern U.S., had access to NYC, Philadelphia, etc...but when I moved back to Houston, I never even tried another stylist, I went right back to Jon and I'm totally happy with his work, every time. He's simply the best! more

Jon The Master Colorist and Stylist 8/3/2010

I have been going to Jon for five years and I want to tell the Houston community that he is a master at color and cutting. My hair has never looked better and I too, get compliments all the time. He uses color techniques which are rich, natural, and very healthy looking. Highlights and lowlights are so natural looking. I recently went to a function (where he had done everybody's hair), and everyone had a fabulous but simple look that seemed right for them. I used to be intimidated going to the best sylists, and felt uncomfortable discussing changing my look but I have always found Jon to be extremely kind and sensitive to my insecurities and he has guided me to a much more professional look. He had had a loyal following of customers for many years - he is the best! more

Master of Color 7/14/2010

In January of 2004, my life or rather the life of my hair changed! Jon's technique in coloring and cutting my limp, baby fine hair has brought attention to me that is out of this world ! There isn't a week that goes by that someone does not stop me to comment on how awesome my hair looks. I would travel to the ends of the earth for Jon's talent and expertise.
