Great place to meet for lunch 3/3/2010

Great location to meet up with colleagues or friends - right off 285 and Roswell Rd. I missed out by not getting something from the bakery as I was on a business lunch and didn't want to go overboard. I won't make that mistake again ? all looked wonderful. I tried the turkey Panini and although the side of fries was awesome and the portion large, it was lacking. My colleague's Asian salad looked divine - next time I'll try that too. So yes, definitely a next time. Pros: Variety menu Cons: Turkey Panini - lacking more

On my go-to list. 1/29/2010

Every time I've been, even at closing, they have had something from the bakery I fall in love with. These kinds of places are very hard to find in Atlanta and I'd recomend it to anyone. I've eaten there a couple times, and the dinner was an A- (not the absolute best thing I've ever eaten, but very good and worth the price). Love it, will go back until they close. Pros: Consistanly wonderful Cons: The construction more

Awesome 10/31/2008

I love this bakery!!! 7/20/2008

Joli Kobe by far is the BEST bakery I have EVER been to!!!! I've ordered many cakes from this bakery. The cakes are consistanty high quality. The customer service is amazing as well! I am always greeted with warm welcomes! I LOVE this bakery. I wish I could eat there everyday. Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Best Cafe ever 2/27/2008

I've been to Joli Kobe Bakery & Cafe the other day and I was really pleased with the services there. Really good people and good services. Think I'm going to visit that place more often. more

Order desserts, skip lunch 9/25/2007

Recently had the tuna nicoise salad and my friend had the chicken salad sandwich. Chicken salad was just chicken and mayo - tasteless. Was surprised and disappointed that the tuna in my nicoise was canned tuna, not a seared chunk. Heavy fruit and nut bread served with lunch was good. The bakery section smelled great, and had very pretty offerings. I would not go back again for lunch (or at least not order the nicoise or chicken salad) based on my experience. Pros: Unique concept to Atlanta, beautiful bakery offerings Cons: Taste of savory foods more

Deluxe Luncheon Noshes In Sandy Springs! Wonderful Rasberry Mousse! 4/23/2007

While working a couple of accounts in the Sandy Springs/Perimeter area, I had to stop into Joli Kobe, one of my all time favorite places to lunch in the metro. French baked goods, with a Japanese twist, and everything inbetween. The aroma of the freshly baked goods and pasteries, is enough. to get the taste buds working. The little cafe that adjoins the bakery, is always hopping. I always order the spicy Tiger Shrimp Salad with Papaya, and topped with fried potatoe strips. And the cheese and grape stuffed mushrooms are not to be missed. And oh man, that Rasberry Mousse! And I thought I was starting a diet this spring. Take a couple of the loaves of bread home. You gotta love it! Pros: Delightful French/Japenese Bakery & Cafe! more

Upscale cafe with minimal attitude 3/23/2007

One of my favorites for lunch. Haven't tried dinner but can't wait as I hear the ambiance is a lot more calmer. The decor is beautifully minimalist and contemporary. Salads are exquisite and all dishes are well presented. The bisque is rich, the tenderloin tips tasty, the avacado & shrimp salad is light, healthy and flavorful while the take away cookies are a fun treat. They have many apps, sandwiches, salads and entrees as well as freshly made pastries. (Their cakes and pastries are their specialty). Always a treat and priced just right. Service is efficient & friendly. During lunch it can get loud as the place tends to fill with mostly chatty Buckhead type ladies who sometimes bring their kids. Best to go @ 11 or 1 for lunch. Parking can be tricky but is always availabe, just not up front during high traffic hours. I highly recommend this restaurant and their bakery for your next special event. Pros: food, decor, staff Cons: noise level & parking during busy hours more

Great Sandwiches and cakes 1/30/2007

I've been going to Joli Kobe for more than 15 years, good sandwich, pastry and cakes. Owned by the same owner of Kobe Steak House and also the owner of Prado Shopping Center. My favorite is egg salad and potato salad sandwich, coffee imported from Italy is good too. After 5pm, all the baked bread and pastry becomes $1.00, so come and stock up! Pros: Since theyare Japanese, you can talk to them in Japanese Cons: Hardly any parking space, due to sharing space with other buisness more

Jazz, Food, & Drinks Hard to Beat.... 12/24/2006

Very cool looking, yet warm & friendly ambiance makes you enjoy just being there. The great food, well-made drinks, & great live jazz (on Mondays & Tuesdays) make it a no-brainer! Pros: Ambiance, food, music, vibe, free parking, no cover charge Cons: live jazz is only on Mon/Tues nights.... more

Worth the drive 11/22/2006

I never knew this place was here until the write up in the AJC. Decided to check it out and I'm glad I did. The curry chicken salad was really good as was the crab bisque. A must try. Pros: Crab bisque Cons: the crepe was a bit rich although still good more

Best pancakes! 11/21/2006

Food was scrumptious, especially impressive since. I will be happy to eat there again!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Pancakes Cons: A little expensive more

Loved it! 11/17/2006

Best pancakes I've ever had!!! Very romantic!!! A little overpriced. Good coffee, good service!!! Will go again. Pros: food, coffee Cons: $$$ more

Great Food 8/25/2006

I went here yesterday to get a cake for my dad's birthday & the cake was delicious! Fair price & good service. Only bad thing I can think of is the obscure location off roswell road. I highly recommend it. Pros: Good Food, Good Service Cons: Obscure Location more

Best Cake 7/25/2006

We got a Tiramisu Cake for our friend's birthday - everybody loved it. Very clean and helpful staff. Pros: Best Bakery. Conveniently located close to Perimeter Mall. Cons: None more

Great Food, Great Value! 6/22/2004

The best bakery/cafe is not in midtown or Virginia Highlands; it's in a generic strip mall off Roswell Rd just inside the perimeter. Whenever I am in that part of town I make a point to have lunch at Joli Kobe. They artfully blend european bakery/cafe fare with sophisticated Japanese sensibilities to taste and presentation. Their sandwiches are delicious and are a great value! Most are under $5 and a soup du jour is only $1.50, but the taste and presentation is 5 star! breads are consistently good. They do a great job with the french country breads and baguettes. Pros: Great food, Value, friendly more

Never dissappointed! 6/3/2004

I have been going to this bakery/cafe ever since I moved to Atlanta. The pastries are delectable and are works of art. If you need a special occassion cake this is the bakery; Joli Kobe can make just about any cake you desire. They also have a nice lunch menu. I love the Japanese sandwich they have, don't know the name, but its great. The people are friendly and the place is always spotlessly clean. Joli Kobe definately gets my vote for best bakery in Atlanta. more

Delicous Desserts 5/18/2004

Joli Kobe produces some of the most exquisite and tasty desserts in Atlanta. The presentation is flawless, and the calibre is always consistent. I have never been dissappointed with any purchase from this bakery. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. Pros: artistic desserts, good lunch menu, great service more

The Best 5/13/2004

This patisserie has the most exquisitely prepared desserts and pastries I have seen anywhere in Atlanta. Looking under the glass at Joli Kobe is like looking as precious jewels under a jewelers case; these works of art are almost too beautiful to eat. This patisserie is as good as any I've found in Paris or Japan. Every special occassion or dinner party would not be complete without a delectable dessert from Joli Kobe! Pros: Great desserts, Value , Friendly service more
