Food is great, atmosphere tacky 7/29/2005

The decor and atmosphere at Joe's Crab Shack is interesting to say the least. Some people like it and some people hate it -- it's all a matter of taste really. Personally, I found all the decoration to be tacky, and the fake enthusiasm of the waitstaff got on my nerves. However, the seafood is excellent, good portions, and worth going for. It's worth it once for the experience of the place, but I'd probably get take out next time I want food from Joe's. more

Fun Place to Eat and Take the Kids! 6/21/2005

What a whirlwind of things to look at from your childhood, while enjoying a feast of crab. They have great childrens menus and the kids love to look at all the things hanging from the ceilling. Great fun!! Good Food!! Many different drinks to try. They also have a playscape outside for the kids. Great family restaurant. more

In the mood for Crab 6/16/2005

If you've never been to Joe's, I can't tell you enough that you need to go! The food is SO good (dungeoness crab....mmmmmm), the staff is friendly, and the decor will keep your eyes moving, to say the least! My son loves the music there, they play a lot of older dance music, and he will dance and bounce in his high chair. They even have the perfect sized dessert for me, and I never have room for dessert. It's a little strawberry shortcake served in a stemmed glass. Yum! more
