They should change the name to ""Joe's Crap Shack,"" because that is what I got the last two visits. If you call yourself a seafood restaurant you ought to be able to cook shellfish... last time I ordered the ""beantown bake"" and everything was ruined - the rubbery lobster had to be pried from the shell (one way you know it ain't cooked right), the shrimp and clams were overcooked also.. I told the server it was overcooked and got ""oh really, they usually do it right.."" So that was my last visit to this joint. Why can't we get a Legal Sea Foods here.. why, oh why can't we get decent seafood??? more

we drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and 5/28/2012

we drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and it was the worst I have ever been to. the lobster baskets at $28.99 were terrible the waitress told us the lobsters were over 1 to 1 1/2 lbs, it was a shedd and it was so rubbery and barely had any meat in, the corn was tough and old as were the potatoes, I was missing half of my lobster tail and had to go through the third degree to finally have the manager send out another one that was a better lobster then had to fight it to get it off the bill, we were not filled so we asked for the menu to order a dessert and after 20 mins the waitress came back still with no menu so we ordered one dessert and the cup of lobster bisque which when brought out it looked over cooked and curdled and had no flavor of lobster at all, when I asked the server about the chunks floating of the curdled pieces he told me that was lobster bits NOT I had eaten good lobster bisque before at Harrys in Lakeland Fl now that was GOOD lobster bisque but after another 20 mins the waitress brought the check, still no dessert, but it was charged so we took the dessert, another 5 mins later to go just to get out of there and end that miserable expirence. What was really bad, they were not even busy with every other table plus empty, our waitress kept talking to guys at the other table I think the next time I will just keep going south or as my Son said just go Red Lobster there when you are ripped off it is not as expensive and at least they give you cheddar biscuits more

A fun place to eat, Joe's Crab Shack 9/16/2005

The food is excellent, so is the service and the fun the restaurant generates by the servers dancing and singing birthday songs of different sorts. The playgroung out back beside the deck is an excellent place for families with children. I eat here at least twice a month or more. I recommend families of all ages to go to Joe's. Yes the music may be loud at some times, but it is worth the trip. more

Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic...
