Not impressed 1/31/2006

First off, I was completely disappointed to learn they do not accept credit/debit cards...CASH ONLY!! WHAT? Who uses cash anymore? They do have an ATM on premises, however it's some no-name ATM that charges a fee. Add that to my bank's fee for using someone else's ATM, and that upped my bill $3. So, now on to the food. The Garlic rolls were the first thing we tasted. They are ok if you enjoy dripping grease. Very garlic-y, which we loved, but the puddle of oil at the bottom of the basket was so unappetizing, we couldn't finish them. Next up, the salads. My spouse's caesar was good. Nothing special, just good. My mozarella and tomato salad was very mediocre. The tomatos were warm and the olive oil, not full of flavor. Finally, the pizza. We ordered the delux-est, can't remember the name. The crust was very good, but the sauce honestly tasted exactly like Campbell's tomato soup. First time ever we left the doggie bag on the table, actually didn't even ask to have it wrapped. This experience was at the Pines location. We decided to give the new Cooper City location a shot. Again, forgot the cash, but that was our mistake this time. Food was again very mediocre. Atmosphere at both locations is very unappealing. Very noisy and cafeteria-ish. Don't be fooled by the name, it's definately not Fine Italian. Price was about $50 for 4 people (including tip and ATM fees). After giving it 2 chances, we'll be heading to Carrabas or Johnny Carino's for our Italian dining. I give this place 2 stars (but I wish I had the 1 1/2 stars option). more

Yummy garlic Rolls! 9/1/2005

John the Baker has the Yummiest garlic rolls! I will travel the distance and deal with the CASH only to have them. They are so delicious! The pizza and all the italian dishes are real good. The wait staff are super friendly too. It is very kid friendly and the prices are real good too. more

The best pizza and garlic rolls in Miramar/Pines area! 8/5/2005

I've never eaten in the restaurant before because it's usually crowded in their small location, however, I've ordered take out time and time again. Being that they are not a large chain restaurant, and a family-owned business instead, extra attention is given to their high quality foods. The pizza is superb and their garlic rolls are the best I've ever had. This place is a WELL KNOWN pizza joint in this area and everyone knows how good they are. The only downside to this place is that they ONLY take cash and they do not do deliveries. But trust me, it's worth driving there to pick up your pizza and rolls. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed! more
