Disrespectful and dirty service 8/25/2012

I brought my mustang in to Joe Myer's ford to get an oil change and state inspection. The service manager I dealt with was named Michelle Torre. I asked Ms. Torre to please make sure that the service techs took care to not soil my interior - I had previously had a terrible experience with the last ford dealership I went to who got grease all over the inside of my car. When I picked up my car today I found grease smeared all over the door and seat on the driver side - I asked the service manager on duty to take care of the problem. He cleaned up about half the mess - not sure what I am going to do about the grease smeared into my seat. This is unacceptable service. I will never go back to Joe Myers Ford because they do not respect me or my car. more

Great experience the second time around. My husband and I went to Joe Myers Mazda about 2 years ago and had an awful buying experience. We decided to come back and give the dealership a second chance and were pleasantly surprised. Tony, the salesman, was waiting for us when we arrived and greeted us before we even walked into the dealership. He made sure we were taken care of throughout the whole buying experience. We were so impressed with the service that we receive that we decided to trade my car in as well!!! Mike the manager was also very helpful and made sure we were taken care of especially because of our previous experience. After we went through financing Mike and Tony were there helping us into our new vehicles. One more thing to add is Tony remembered how much my husband and I liked the Houston Dynamo and called us this weekend to check in and also to let us know that he got us Dynamo tickets. By far the best car buying experience we have ever had. Throughly impressed =) more

Most dishonest place ever 12/5/2011

I work in the auto industry and have bought several vehicles, but never have experienced so much attempted deception, from the Sales person on up. I will never go there for sales, service, or even parts as I expect this dishonesty is practiced from the top down. more

I was greeted by Randy Swanson- Internet Sales, and was kind of rude to him. I explained to him that I wanted a particular vehicle and wanted to pay a particular price. Randy really made me feel good about this purchase, and helped ease my frusterations. Ray A., the Sales Manager made sure my every need was taken care of , and finally Scott in finance did his due dilligence to get me out of there in record speed. After my terrible exp. with Munday, I really felt the pro's at Joe Myers helped make my new car buying experience remarkable. DEAL OF A LIFETIME 8/11/2011

If you’re looking for a new car this is the place to go!!! I had originally looked at Jeff Haas Mazda in Katy for my vehicle, was promised all sorts of good news over the phone, yet it wasn't till I got there that everything was a HUGE LOAD OF CRAP! My fiancé and I wasted 5 hours there just sitting and waiting they hadn't processed any of our information and nor were we approved for any financing. They were a dealership of all talk and no results; they were trying to put me in a used vehicle with over 40000 miles for the price of a brand new vehicle. To sum it up they would tell u anything to get you in and sell u something you wouldn't really want. They had us waiting only to come and tell me that they had a load of vehicles coming in that I would be able to choose a car from the next day and that they would call me. Of course Monday came and nothing happened, still determined to get my Mazda I googled more Mazda dealers in Houston and found JOE MYERS MAZDA! Aware of the bull and nonsense from Jeff Haas I had my stipulations set and the right questions planned out to ask Joe Myers, I spoke with a Craig Kniesly and told him just what I wanted and about my deal gone bad with Jeff Haas. Instantly with Craig I could hear assurance and determination to have me satisfied if I came in to Joe Myers. He gave me insightful information everything he told me Jeff Haas didn't, not only did he tell me I could get in a new vehicle but he was sure he could show me a better deal. I came in and sure enough he was right he got me started instantly on filling out the proper forms and even took the time out to make sure everything was filled out correctly and entered in their system correctly. They didn't promise me anything bc it sounded good but they assured me they would try and get the best deal possible for me. Within 2 hours I was told I was approved not only for a car but for a BRAND NEW 2011 MAZDA 3! It gets better I only put 1000 down and my interest rate was INCREDIBLE, 8.5% interest rate the deal of a lifetime. Craig and more

I came into Joe Myers Mazda last month, looking for an affordable, reliable car for my son. I was helped by sales manager Craig Kneisly, who was absolutely awesome! He showed me all the options I had, explained pros and cons of various vehicles, and was never pushy or made me feel pressured in any way. I felt like I was given an outstanding overview that enabled me to make an informed decision that I could feel good about. Craig fully understood what I was looking for and helped me get the price I wanted. I ended up chosing a 2011 Mazda3 and the sales process was quick, efficient, and smooth. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Mazda - ask for Craig Kneisly and you will get outstanding customer service!! more

Joe Myers Service Center 7/8/2011

I took my car in for a free oil change and after 30 minutes was told they needed to show me something. A piece on the passenger side was loose and sticking out. It was not like that before. Everyone in the waiting room had to be shown something while I was there(4 of us). They wanted $120 to fix it. I told them it was under warrenty. Go figure. Take pictures before you go. more

Service unacceptable 4/22/2011

I took my car in for repair, for an identical failure that had occurred 2 years sooner (window off track) . Although I knew, after2 years, that the repair was out of warranty. I left the car and was advised it would be looked at that afternoon. No message of estimate that afternoon or evening. I decided to follow up the next day afternoon. The car was not looked - no call, no indication of when, nor sorry for not contacting me and not meeting his verbal commitment. Joe Myers service center showed unacceptable communication and no concern for a customer with a repeat failure. I called the service manager, to convey my experience and displeasure in their communication, and was required to leave message on his voice mail. The service manger did not even have the courtesy to return my call. Other service centers much more responsive and polite - I will not return to any Joe Myers dealerships for service or for and new vehicle purchases. The service department is where I determine whee I will buy my new cars – This experience will leave Joe Myers out, that is for sure.T more

Got taken 2/24/2011

This concerns the service department. They do work they are not supposed to do. They didnt do work I asked them to do. They charge rediculous prices. An example is they charged me $52 to replace the air filter & that doesn't include the filter. Takes about 30 seconds to replace an air filter. On top of all that, I've tried calling 3 different people to express my concerns & nobody returns my calls. more

Your typical shiesty salesmen/dealership 12/28/2010

I would never recommend anyone to go to any of Joe Myers dealerships. I bought a new 2009 Mazda3 last year with leather and factory installed GPS (what they told me). A week after the purchased the vehicle I noticed several dents in the roof and on the hood. When I took it back and told the manager (Tre), he offered to throw in a free oil change since I bought the car while accepting the hail damage (BS). There were defects with the leather and the GPS. I called to take it in for warranty work and they gave me the name of a third party installer to have it repaired. When I took m car to the installer they told me they could not warranty work that was done to the car in 2009 even though I paurchased it new in 2010. Some much for buying only factory installed extras. I would never buy anything from Joe Myers again. Enjoy the money did get from me. more

I dont know how anyone got anything but a warming friendly feeling from Joe Myers Mazda/Kia but i stoped by there after being treated horribly at the joe myers ford store and my experience couldnt have been better, I purchased my vehicle from Nick Samuels and he was an excellent individual to deal with, his product knowledge couldn't have been better and treated us very fair and honest, I will be returning to him in the future to purchase any other vehicles more

Don't let the negatives scare you.. 9/14/2010

I was recently in the market for a used vehicle and I looked all over the country for the very specific car I wanted. It had to: be white, have a sunroof, cashmere leather interior, low miles and be owned in the south to avoid salt damage. Well, I looked at several cars via the net at several dealers. I found a car I liked and told Sewell Hummer in Plano, Tx I would take it.. They sold it out from underneath me. Well, needless to say, that forced me to continue to look.. I'm glad I did.. I found what I was looking for at Joe Myers Ford. I got pictures of the vehicle and spoke with Andres Muniz about the vehicle and wound up making an offer that was accepted.. As a curiosity, I started checking reviews about Joe Myers - needless to say, I was nervous about the vehicle after the reviews I read here.. I had a friend go look at the car for me. I am in Alabama, the car was in Houston. I bought the car without ever looking at it in person. When the car arrived it was in great shape - it is really nice and everyone who had seen it was surprised it was a used car. It looks brand new.. However, there were a few things that were not as described, or rather not described in my discussions. First, it was missing a hub-cap. Andres told me they had several hubcaps stolen the night before the car was picked up. Second, the windshield had a few chips in it that had been repaired in the past. This was never disclosed to me. Third, there was a small scratch on the door. I mentioned all of these items to Andres. They FedEx'd me a brand new hubcap straight from Hummer. They sent me a check for the cost of a replacement windshield. I never mentioned the scratch - as I can easily fix it myself. I would buy another car from Andres and Joe Myers without much reservation. Don't let the negative comments here worry you. Call Andres and deal with him. more

Mazda 3 2010 purchase 6/2/2010

I bought my first car in US (Mazda 3 2010) from this dealership around January 2010. The experience was very good, they even helped me to get good rate from the insurance company (state farm, Texas) Follow up service is without a problems so far and car is functioning without a glitch too. more

A great experience! 5/28/2010

A woman smashed my car a few months ago, and I was unsure whether the insurance company would deem it "totalled". While I waited for the news, I went to Joe Myers Mazda to shop around - to be prepared for whatever happened. My salesperson, Mike, was really helpful, and not pushy. Other places tried to harass me into making a quick decision. I'm glad I didn't because my car ended up getting repaired, and I was still a little upside-down on my loan. But, since they were so wonderful at Joe Myers, and I loved the Mazda 6, I will definitely return there when I am ready to replace my vehicle. Thank you, Mike, for being so cool! more

Great Job! 4/5/2010

I was actually a bit scared of dealing with Joe Myers due to all the negativity about this dealership. However, I did an internet price quote via a car review website. I got a prompt reply via my preferred method of contact , email. Only followed up by a phone call days after I did not reply. I had contacted other dealers in this same method & only Joe Myers respected my time period to buy & preferred communication methods. I was looking at a similar car at another dealership , but they just couldn't match the price at Joe Myers. I got exactly what was promised ( they had to find my car at another dealer & not once tried to change my mind sell me what was in their inventory) The "pressure" if you can even call it that.. to add some extras such as ding protection.. was minimal . They did try to sell the extended warranty etc & get us up off the 0% financing, but hey they are a business & need to make money. At the end of the day, I walked out with what I felt was a good deal on a car I love. I think if you are a savvy consumer & do your research you will find this to be a very pleasant experience. Used Cars Need Work. Bait and Switch 3/22/2010

They just shine 'em and sell 'em. They don't even replace the burned out light bulbs. Car was promoted as coming with a 3 month warranty but after the deal is sealed they shove an AS IS paper in front of you. No warranty. After only 200 miles the car shows signs of needing some repair work on the front end. And when you try to negotiate some sort of help with the repairs, they just ignore you. They won't even reply to your requests. Very unprofessional. Guess there are enough suckers in Houston that they don't need repeat customers. more

Excellent Experience 3/10/2010

I leased a 2010 Mazda3 Sport Hatchback at Joe Myers Mazda. The entire staff was warm and friendly. It was a Saturday and they were BBQing, which is something I hear they do every Saturday. I got a great deal and free food. I love my Mazda and the overall experience at Joe Myers Mazda. I will recommend them to all of my friends and family. more
