I have had 2 rings custom made and each turned out beyond expectation. A third ring was purchased and then modified to our specifications with the owners’ expertise/advice. \r \r The customer service has been great for each visit. \r \r It took some trial and error to get the 3rd ring correct but most of it was due to the active lifestyle we lead. The folks there have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. I have always felt like they appreciated our business unlike some places that may look at their patrons as a burden to their break time.\r more

Hubby and I went to Lloyd Center to run errands, shop and catch a matinee. I dropped off two 14kt bracelets and one 14kt dia cut rope chain necklace at Kassab to be repaired.\r Mr Kassab gave me a price, I paid and off we went. After about 4 hours we returned to pick up our jewelry and found the repairs to be ghastly -- big goopy looking globs of gold where they'd promised to do 'fine' and 'delicate' repair work. When we asked about the globs, they were rude, condescending, and they spoke to us like we were idiots who didn't know what we were talking about. When pressed to at least remove the excess, they became overbearing and intimidating.\r The jewelry went in our drawer and will probably be scrapped.\r Kassab Bros have been around Portland for as long as I can remember, so we expected to be able to trust their work and integrity. \r We were mistaken.
