Adorable spa and an exceptional facial 5/25/2005

First of all, I left Glow GLOWING! I had so many pimples prior, I wanted to hide my face. Then I saw Jillian for an Anti-acne facial and she has changed my life. She does incredible extractions! Don't get me wrong, it isn't a walk in the park, but when I left I felt so clean and my skin looked, well, pretty darn good. She told me it would take a few days to ehal, but I expected that. Plus she sold me these amazing products, I love them. Thanks Jill! I will be back next month. Pros: timely, great extractions, nice staff Cons: none more

What a facial 5/12/2005

I booked a microdermabrasion and a massage and had a great experience. My skin looked radiant for weeks afterwards and my muscle melting massage is what I needed to destress that day. They have a lot of aromatherapy you can choose from! It is so nice to be able to do that! My micro with Jillian was such a great experience. It felt like a cat licking my face (she warned me) but the results were totally worth it! She also did extractions and pampered me with a neck, shoulder and arm massage afterwards! Can't get enough! 4/30/2005

I go to Jillian for micro and brazilian bikini waxes, Moira for laser hair removal (legs) and Jeani for Faux Glow air brush tannning and I can't get enough of Glow Skin Spa. I love it there so much I'm always searching for new treatments to try. The space is intimate but very comfortable. I could bring my boyfriend and HE would even feel at home! Jillian is a pro a skincare and my friend who saw her for the acne facial now has gorgeous skin. It took a few months but she is "glowing"! Amazing experience! 4/26/2005

You walk into Glow Skin Spa and automatically feel at home. I can understand why someone might get overwhelmed because the space is small but it accomodates you if you are serious about improving your skin or simply want to drift away with a fabulous body scrub or massage. Jillian and her staff are so knowledgeable about skincare, they make sure you are on the right products so you don't waste your money in the future. Jillian made me feel so special and welcome on top of getting rid of all my blackheads. She is obsessed with extractions! I'm a loyal client and so are all my friends! Awful awful staff 4/18/2005

My first expierence with this spa was that the staff was rude unattentive. I visits spas once every 2 weeks and someone had reccomended this spa to me. The service itself was mediocre but it was hurried. I left there with such a bad taste in my mouth and when I attempted to tell the receptionist that I was not happy with the service she barked back and told me in short" too bad" Never will go back and def. will never reccomend this place to anyone. Best Facial in NYC!! 3/7/2005

LOVE their new remodel!!! The spa looks amazing - so peaceful. I love going to Jillian - she is very calming and gives a very relaxing facial. I always end up falling asleep because she is so gentle. But when I wake up...my skin is glowing. I go to see her once a month and I look forward to our sessions(her upper body massages are yummy). The spa is beautiful - Jillian did a great job with the remodel and I love sitting in the relaxation room after my treatment and having a Zico coconut water and some snacks. Also you can catch up on some magazines. If you want to take 1-2 hours out of your hectic schedule then I suggest you book your appointment with Jillian and you will not be dissapointed. Pros: Jillian, Facials make your skin glowing, Spa is very cozy Cons: None more

GLOW=WOW! 10/20/2004

My husband and I booked facials with Samantha and Jillian yesterday and walked out very pleasantly surprised. (We used to be big spa people, but have recently been jaded with the service at other spas.) Glow Spa is definitely a place of service and professional expertise. The space is small but the atmosphere is very intimate. If you are looking for service and professionals who know what they're doing, this is the place to go! My skin feels and looks great! Best Brows Ever!!! 9/29/2004

I had my brows done by Moira and what a transformation!!! They were perfect! I actually had a shape. For the first time in my life people complimented me on my great eyebrows. It is obvious that she is a perfectionist in this area. It is neccesary to grow them out for a couple of weeks first but it was soooo worth it! I recently had my brows perfected by Moira and that is an understatement! She was so precise and took such time and care to give me an amazing arch! It is so hard to find an excellent aesthetician that is superior in their work. Jillian made skin look radiant. I didn't know I had it in me. She took her time, explained everything to me so I could understand "why me skin wasn't functioning properly". She has made me a loyal client. I highly recommend her. Plus everyone at Glow is so friendly. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you walk in the door. Pros: Great Location, Warm and Friendly, Not Overpriced more

Glowing attorney 7/19/2004

My husband and I absolutely loved our facials at Glow. I had an Oxygen facial that left my skin feeling dewy and soft. My hubby said it glowed! Ha!! Samantha said I should try a microdermabrasion at the end of the summer, especially after my vacation spending time outdoors. (Yes - I'll wear my sunscreen religiously, Sam!!) Misunderstood Appointment 5/27/2004

When I called I specified wax without strips. When I arrived the one person there had not received these instructions and said I would need to wait at least 1/2 hour to prepare the correct wax. Although she apologized the place was very unprofessional. Pros: Nice staff Cons: , Unorganized more

Waxing Debacle 5/20/2004

Glow spa has nice decor, a friendly staff, and is in a great location.... But when booking an appointment, be sure that your aesthetician is experienced. I recently had a horrible wax.... Although my aesthetician was friendly, I'm not convinced she knew how to give a brazilian. First off, she made me completely remove my underwear and then she was very painful to have 'rips'. In addition, the wax was scalding hot and they didn't know how to apply it in small sections to make the removal process less painful. The end result -- gobs of wax were stuck on me and they literally had to rub my very exposed "area" with oil. ....This is just my objective description of what happened. Again, everyone there was kind and apologetic for the situation, but I'd be cautious about scheduling a wax at glow. more

Miracle workers!! 5/19/2004

It was 3 days before a major event, and I had multiple prominent blemishes on my face. Jillian did a stress reduction facial and zapped the blemishes with a special instrument, and by the time of my event, they were GONE! Even the next day they were amazingly diminshed - I couldn't believe it! The facial itself was wonderful - the best I've had in the City. Jillian uses great products and explains what she is doing, and my skin felt like silk afterwards. She's made me a devoted client for life! I have been getting regular facials from Jillian for over 2 years. I have NEVER had a regular anything- I cut my hair twice a year, wait till my pedicures "grow out", etc. But once I got a facial at Glow I was hooked. The girls are amazing, perfectionist, beautiful and friendly women and I look forward to my appointment each time! more

Tiffany gave me the most thorough facial I've ever had and she was very nice, accomodating, and professional. She was quite knowledgable about facial products that I used on my face and didn't push anything. A very nice change from other places that push their products relentlessly.
