Great Glow! 5/22/2003

I had a great facial here last night. Glow Skin Spa is not an ordinary spa so don't go if you want the fluff . . go if you want an amazing facial. I had the oxygen facial and Tiffany was excellent. She really cleaned my face and made it feel amazing. She was very professional and nice and she knew what she was doing and talking about. They also don't try and push products and they are more concerned for your skin than for making money. It is refreshing. I had to wait a bit but each facial is customized so sometimes one person takes longer, but be patient b/c it is worth the wait. The prices are reasonable too. Pros: knowledge, skill, facial more

Leg wax. 3/13/2003

Tiffany is really great at waxing leg. She takes her time and make sure each hair is remove from legs and bikini area. The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly. If you have tried all other places and were not satifised with their services-then I highly recommend Tiffany at Glow Skin Spa. I would also recommend their facials. more

...go to glow skin spa. by far the best place for a facial in the city. no, it is not the place to go if you are looking waterfalls and fluff. however, it is the place to go to completely rejuvinate your skin. my skin used be a combination of acne, dry patches, and pigment spots. now these symptoms are completely gone, and i'm repeatedly complimented on the flawlessness of my skin (which is a feat in this city). by the way, tiffany gives the greatest massage ever! more

the only place for a facial 12/5/2002

I have gotten facials on occasion in the past, but I am now addicted to the treatments at Glow Skin Spa. the products they carry are fantastic, and Jillian is really gifted, as well as being extremely knowledgeable and very sweet. The place itself is small and cozy, so you dont get that feeling of being run thru the usual impersonal treatment. This place is a must for people who are into taking care of their skin. I agree with the other poster about how knowledgeable the staff is. While you're in a treatment, you lye there and think about how not a penny is going to waste. It is well worth the value. They treat you well and keep you informed on what they're doing by explaining each step of the process. It was quite an enjoyable experience. Plus, the results speak for themselves. I have had 2 sessions of microderm w/ Tiffany (so far - I'll be going every 4 weeks from now.) Tiffany is fabulous. She takes her time with you and she is very thorough. The spa is small but who cares when the skin care is some of the best in the city? I think the smallness makes it intimate, private and more soothing. The staff is friendly and they don't try to push you to buy products like all of the other spas do. My one and ONLY complaint is that the bathroom is in a different location than the spa itself. Professional and Very Private 11/12/2002

I've been looking for a place like this for a long time, highly professional and intimate. Jillian took extra time to explain my microdermabrasion treatment. The results made my skin look the best it's looked in a long time. I particularly liked the privacy and the highly professional care, Jillian is the best!! THE LOCATION IS GREAT BUT AS YOU STEP INTO THIS PLACE, I THOUGHT I WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE!! IT LOOKS LIKE A DENTIST OFFICE OR SOMETHING AND IT WAS VERY UN-SPA LIKE! I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE AND WANTED TO LEAVE. I RATHER PAY JUST A LITTLE FOR THE ATMOSPHERE. ITS JUST NOT WORTH BEING PAMPERED WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL ITS AN ESCAPE. I love recommending Tiffany! 11/5/2002

I've recommended Tiffany to my roommates, my friends.. people I meet at functions/parties and each one has come back to me thanking them for the referral. I have had so many issues with my skin and in turn with a number of facialists.. but Tiffany is so gentle and knowledgeable that I trust her to do what is right with my skin. You should give it a try! You won't have a more thorough or satisfying facial anywhere else. You won't be sorry and you're skin will be grateful! more

My search is over! 11/5/2002

I've never felt so good and my skin so clean. Tiffany gave me my glow back! I have sensitive skin and Tiffany was gentle and so patient and was willing to stay late to spend the time needed on my skin. She gives the most relaxing massages for about 15 -20 minutes while your mask is on - unheard of for $105. I also have to comment on the ambiance, because I am used to stuffy, crowded spas that rush you in and out and do not have customized/special skin care programs. It is private, very clean, smells great, and the soothing music she played was perfect for my stress level. She really knows how to make you feel comfortable. I have tried many spas and have found Jillian to be knowledgable as well as interesting to talk to. I would certainly recommend going there. Get the microdermabrasion. My skin has never looked better. more

WONDERFUL TREATMENT 10/16/2002

Jilian is wonderful. I came in for my first micr-dermabrasion, and she made me feel very relaxed and at home. A full facial was given in addition to the service, and I was there for over 1 hour, very very relaxed. Jilian also gave explicit instruction on how to care for my face post service. Not thrilled 10/13/2002

I cant believe so many gave this place a 10. Makes you wonder?? This place is mediocre at best. It was my first time there and I made the mistake of ringging the door bell. The women seemed very annoyed - as if I was supposed to know that this was taboo. The attitudes of the women were strange as well - a little too full of themselves. As for the facial, the message technique was good but the extractions were too rough. I actually ended up breaking out afterwords. Basically, you are paying upper east side prices for an OK facial - but the atmosphere is not at all awe inspiring. more

As a business woman I am constantly travelling from Los Angeles to New York. The first thing I seek out upon arrival is a massage to ease my stress. Glow Skin Spa offers the most luxurious treatments that leave you feeling truly pampered. I usually opt for the treatment called Heaven on Earth. A bit of a splurge, yes, but worth every cent. I have been to many different spas in the city for facials, but the one I just had at Glow was by far the best I have ever had. I highly recommend Tiffany. She was wonderful and attentive. It was truly an hour and 15 minutes of pure bliss! more
