I would not recommend going here to anyone.\r
\r
Here's the story, hopefully it will help you to make a decision to go elsewhere.\r
\r
There is one positive in this post, I did buy a beautiful 1.5 carat GIA certified diamond from them. We love it. But, we could have bought the same diamond at any other place (and would have had I known it would be this much trouble).\r
\r
1st Experience:\r
Workmanship is awful. We had the diamond (referenced above) set in a solitaire setting and less than a week later had to have it reset by a professional jeweler somewhere else because the stone came loose. This was after sending it out to ""the factory"" to have it done ""right."" \r
\r
2nd Experience: \r
Workmanship is awful, customer service is horrible and their product is sub-par.\r
I forgave them for our first experience because I figure everyone deserves a second chance. My fault. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. We bought a wedding set from them with the intentions of setting the engagement diamond (referenced above) in the new setting which matched the wedding ring. \r
\r
They offered to resize it and we said okay (1/2 size up). \r
\r
We came back 4 days later and picked it up, brought it to a local jeweler to reset the engagement stone (learned a little from first experience). The local jeweler wouldn't touch it because the jeweler at The Jewelry Factory ruined the ring. He recommended bringing it back and getting a refund or exchange.\r
\r
We found all of this out after we brought it home (we live 60 miles away from the Jewelry Factory). So, armed with additional knowledge from a local jeweler (a guy who has been doing this for 40 years) we drove back to The Jewelry Factory. When we questioned the workmanship and told the assistant manager that we were not satisfied with the product we were told ""your jeweler just didn't want to do any work"" (on a new ring??? seriously?!?!) After ARGUING with the manager, being berated, and humiliated we were finally able to get them to order a new one. \r
\r
The new ring was projected to be ready 3 months AFTER our wedding.\r
\r
After some more frustration we were able to get them to promise it to us before the wedding....8 whole days before the wedding...the wedding is on 12/28.....\r
\r
The new ring ended up coming in 4 weeks later (one month before the wedding) and there were more problems. One of the diamonds came loose in the engagement band after less than one week. \r
\r
At this point, we aren't even going to bother to send it back to them. We are hiring a specialist to fix it (we should have gone to him originally). \r
\r
Between when we purchased the rings and today (approximately one month) my fiancee has cried twice and only gotten to wear her engagement ring for three days because of the poor customer service, incompetence, poor craftsmanship, and abominable workmanship by The Jewelry Factory and its Employees.\r
\r
This is supposed to be a happy time and thanks to The Jewelry Factory it has been nothing but stressful, disappointing, and inconvenient.\r
\r
To me, that says it all, we will never patronize this establishment again.\r
\r
Shame on you The Jewelry Factory for making the most important person in my life cry. Shame on you.
