no go, Crack whores, teeny bopers, and bruisers. 11/28/2011

I've been going to Jeremiah's about every weekend to shoot pool and have some good conversation for six years. Mainly because its 3 blocks from my house and I don't drink and drive.Over the past year I've noticed the clientele diminish. To say that they are low class would be a compliment to them. This culminated last Saturday when I met a real crack whore sitting at the bar outside. Although it some strange and interesting conversation I should have taken that que and never gone back to the place again. As for last Saturday, I got in a heated argument with a teeny bopper about some unresolved personality issues that she is having trouble coping with and is projecting her inadequacies onto the grow-up. I was then thrown out for the establishment by the owner (Wayne) and with the help of a few bruiser pales (6) and I was physically assaulted when I left the property. I surmise that he keeps these friends on a separate payroll from the club in an effort to shield himself from tort liability. As soon as I hit the grown and got kicked in the stomach, I reached in my pocket of my phone. These bruisers ran back inside like a bunch of ten year old girls. The liability shield isn't going to help him when he's standing there directing these criminals. To summarize, avoid this place. Nothing good will happen to you and you have a better the even odds of being dead later in the evening. more

DONT GO HERE 2/1/2011

I was at McGregor's on a sat night and went out to my truck to use the phone becouse it was way to noisy inside only to be haressed by police and held up long enough for sombody to steal my leather jacket. glasses credit card in my jacket pockets.bartender was supposed to be watching them for me. . Ive known wayne for years and if he cant keep police away from his busness then nobody needs to go there.cops are not supposed to be in the parking lot haressed people when they go in and out more

Gotta try this place.. 2/5/2009

Jeremiah's has been around for a long time. Wayne bought the business when he was just 19 and still owns and managed it today. It is a local mainstay. I think the food is good and the service is better than most places. Some servers have been there awhile and they know how to cater to their regulars and they know how to welcome newcomers. At the bar, Tish is bar none, the best entertainment. She is beautiful and quite the raconteur. more

local dive 8/25/2008

horrible service. long waits for table and mediocre food. prices are reasonable if you're looking for something less pricey in Mt. Dora, but there are much better places to spend your money more

Avoid Friday Nights 7/17/2008

Yes, this is a local hangout, but the food is good. The service is mediocre on the busier nights, so if you want to enjoy the 'local' feel and great atmosphere, I would recommend during the week. On Friday and Saturday nights during season, it's long waits and bad service. more

Local Hangout, avoid on weekends 3/14/2008

I've tried Jeremiah's three times, and have had bad experiences each time. The food is just OK, the service is always short handed, and there's always a long wait to get in. Avoid this one, it's more of a local bar than a restaurant. Pros: Great atmosphere, local hangout Cons: Mediocre food, poor service, long waits more
