Jeffery's Flowers

When driving by Jeffery's Flowers I thought ""how cute!"" they are in a small building beside the Pizza Hut in Hixon. They decorate even the exterior of their building for almost every holiday... When prom rolled around my boyfriend and I decided to give them a try. We stopped by and were told that Jeffery wasnt in but the lady working seemed eager to please and helped us place our order. We asked for specific colors and flowers and were told that it would not be a problem. She repeatedly said how pretty it would be and that someone would be calling me to confirm our pick up date... A week went by and noone ever called. I called them and was assured that my flowers (she even said the specific flower and color) would be ready. When the day of prom came and we picked them up not only was it not the flowers we ordered...(but a totally different type of flower than what I was assured we would get but also a color that did not match my dress). I was so upset but nothing could be done about it, there wasnt time. My corsage made it through him putting it on my wrist and maybe three pictures before all three flowers fell off one at a time...later in the night my dates flower also fell . Oddly enough the friendly service disappeared when I called asking what they would do to fix it. They refused to repair them but did say they would give us a refund. That has been two weeks ago now. The check did go through to the bank but we have not seen our refund. Needless to say I will not be going back. \r \r Do yourself a favor and just keep driving past the cute little building. The service is over priced and not worth the hassel. No one deserves to be so disappoionted for their senior prom. While driving through Riverview in Chattanooga, (We do not live locally) I noticed Jeffery's Florist and how different it appeared. When it was time for my daughter's senior prom, I suggested that we go there for prom flowers. \r We stopped by the florist one afternoon to place our order and discus the details my daughter and her date wanted. We were greeted very warmly and then told that the Jeffery was not there but that they would have him call us and discuss the details and make sure that they would be able to provide the flowers for the date requested. A week went by and we did not hear back. I called them instead and ask if they would be able to complete out order. The lady told me they would and I gave her minor details over the phone of what my daughter was looking for. We stopped by again a few days later and made our request for black magic roses and were told if they could not get them they would call us. During that time the owner suggested white Calla Lilies to go with my daughter's red, black, and silver dress. My daughter specifically stated she did not want the Calla Lilies but wanted roses. When we went back to pick up the corsage and boutonniere we were given a corsage with three deep purple colored Calla Lilies and black ribbon, the boutonniere was one Calla Lily and a pin. My daughter was very disappointed but we kept silent and just tried to accept it. We paid $80 for both, $60 for the corsage alone. We kept both in the fridge as told too, until time to put them on. \r My daughter had the corsage on 5-10 min. and all three flowers fell out of the corsage, one at a time. I called Jeffery's and was told that if I drove from the Choo-Choo to Hixson that they would ""repair"" it. I explained that we were in the middle of pictures and the group had dinner reservations and they would be off to their prom and that I did not have time to drive to them to have them ""repair"" the corsage. I ask them to bring a new one to us and was told they could not do that. She did tell me that she would mail a check to us. I told her that I preferred to have the corsage for my daughter, and was told that was not possible. I have not received a refund, yet. A friend order her son's prom flowers there as well and was very disappointed as well and felt they are much overpriced as well. Had the flowers been better quality and better looking or even what we ask for, price would not be an issue. The fact that my daughter had to go to her senior prom without a prom corsage is ridiculous.\r Do not waste your time or money here, they do not do what they say they will and they do not satisfy the customer. \r Pros: Very personable, Very Welcoming Cons: They do not follow through with what they say they will do. more

I called from Chicago (knowing the reputation that this florist had in Chattanooga) to have an arrangement sent for my mother's birthday. I ordered a $100 arrangement that after delivery costs was$130.00...no big deal. I called my mother the evening of her birthday to see how her arrangement looked and well...there was NO ARRANGEMENT. That's right, they did not deliver the flowers for the day I requested. I called the following day and they said that the order had been misplaced and they were really sorry and insisted that they credit my account for the amount of the purchase. Key word: ""they insisted"" I thought, ""wow, that is really great they are taking responsibility"" . Ah, but then I noticed there was only a $50.00 credit to my account - not the original amount of $130.00. I called back to find out what happened and Jeffery himself said that I ""...should call some place else next time I need a florist in Chattanooga"". What a cheeky little as$ after he failed to deliver the flowers and failed to credit the money that he promised. I would never recommend someone this unreliable. What an incredible disappointment. Sadly, I had to call my mother it see if she had received her Mother'd Day flowers. She was hosting a party at the moment and told me that she had and that she and my father and all of her guests laughed at the flowers. Granted it was an orchid arrangement of 3 blooms and 2 buds so lacking in robustness that perhaps one would expect. What saddens me is that I had told Jeffery to make an arrangement that cost 100 dollars and asked him if it would be a nice size and seem special. I had already understood that he was considered the high end florist of Chattanooga, which since living in NYC, I truly understand the cost of arrangements especially for design. He said it would be fine. What I really would have needed was for him to say that it would cost more if necessary. Nonetheless, for 100 dollars, I do know what I can get here in NY and also in Chattanooga since my brother's funeral was held there, as well as, my wedding. Should I give Jeffery another chance? Or should I be ordering my flowers from my NYC florist, Katrina Parris Flowers, to be delivered in Chattanooga from now on. Shame on you Jeffery, I feel thoroughly embarassed to my mother and for my mother in front of all of her friends. If the arrangement cost a a $500 dollars who cares... it is not a money issue for me. The issue for me is for my mother's happiness not a sense of, oh well, the sentiment is there. more

Jeffrey's Flowers was just awarded one of the ""Best of the Best"" Florists awards in Chattanooga. Unique flowers where every arrangement is different....no two arrangements are ever the same. Excellent in every catagory. Pros: Rated by the Chattanooga Times Free Press as one of Chattanooga's Best Florists. 2008 more
