Best Persian Food I've Ever Had 12/16/2009

I've been ordering from Javan for a few years now and have never been disappointed in the quality or freshness of the food. The boneless chicken kabobs are consistently flavorful and juicy, and the rice is to die for! Their lunch and dinner delivery is always fast, too. I highly recommend this place! Pros: Juicy boneless chicken kabobs, amazing rice, fast delivery Cons: None that I can think of more

Great Persian Food 11/6/2009

You know you're at a great persian restaurant, when there are Persian people eating dinner. One of the best, most authentic Persian cuisine's around, Javan is great! Be sure to ask for a doggy bag, because you're going to have extra food! Pros: Great authentic food, lots of food choices more

Just Average 10/7/2007

I have been here a few times and was always happy when I dined in. However, couple of weeks ago we ordered food from them, since I work close by. It took them over 1 hour to deliver and their excuse was that they took our food to somone else by mistake and they had to go back and get it. The food itself was cold by the time it got to us and the steak kabob (barg) was raw and not well cooked. In addition, they had not provided any butter with the rice. Pros: Nice atmosphere Cons: Slow delivery. Steak Kabob not well cooked. more

GREAT SERVICE/ GREAT FOOD/ VERY NICE PEOPLE 11/14/2006

Javan is the best Persian Restaurant in the world. The food is always great. When you tell them you want your food to be well done or juicy it will be exactly what you wanted. The servers are always clean/ cute/ handsome/ and hot men and women. The parking is not a problem like other restaurants and i wish you get the chance to go there at least once in your life. more

Best Persian Food in West LA. 9/23/2006

This is by far the best persian food I have ever ate. Prices are just right and the abundance of food is awesome. The piano guy could be annoying so ask for a table to the right side facing the entrance. There is enough parking on the side streets and very close to 3rd Street Promenade. more

OK food, Horrible Service.... 8/31/2006

The food is OK, you can get this in many Kabob restaurants with not much variance (I can name 10 in Westwood area). I will never return here, my friend had a pebble in her rice which almost broke her teeth, it brought tears to her eyes, I asked the server to get the manager, manager comes, I explain what happens, his reply: Well this is part of the rice that is hard to clean and then he jokes, I will not charge you for it. Not funny, not even an apology, well they can keep it. Cons: Horrible service more

User review by balgus 3/27/2006

The food was pretty good but there are restaurants who serve better food for the same price. The meat for the filet mignon kabob that I ordered was moist and juicy but the rice was somewhat dry. Parking is a little difficult but manageable. more

I would be a repeat customer 12/26/2005

The ambiance was decent, but we thought the food was above average and rather good. The kabobs were moist, tender, and flavorful. The appetizers we got were the 'fried rice' with a pomegranate on top and eggplant puree with fresh onions on the side. The baklava was a bit sweet though. Service was mediocre, they could be a bit better considering the ambiance and price...ie making us box our own leftovers and being a bit slow and irregular with the water Pros: Food Cons: Parking more

The One And Only 12/17/2005

exellent food, great ambience, great piano, exellent parking, the one and only fine persian restaurant in los angeles more

Don't get delivery 11/19/2005

Javan has decent food, but with all the fine Persian restaurants in the area, why settle? A recent food delivery experience prompted this review. I was called back 3 times by the restaurant to verify my address, then 20 minutes later told that there would be a $4 delivery charge (3 mile limit for free). I refused, given that I should have been informed of the charge at the time of ordering. When the driver arrived, he complained about me not paying the charge, and complained about the meger tip. The charged me for a dinner order despite it being lunch. Not customer oriented, me thinks! Go to Shaherzad instead. more

The best Iranian restaurant in town 7/19/2005

After visting many in West Los Angeles, I have found this restaurant to be consistant. Most serve Kabab with dried meat but this restaurant has it juicy. Pros: juicy meat, great rice, great servic Cons: too much light more
