Best Thai food ever, definitely on par with what I have had in Thailand! more

Still great.... 9/7/2006

A friend of mine and I recently stopped by this restaurant after an 9 year hiatus. I have to admit, the food back then was the same as it was now...pretty 'effin gooooood. They prepare dishes to their patron's preference and always offer service with a friendly smile. Everything on the menu can be altered (in terms of spice) and they even allow for substitutions. This KD-Phi sorority girl friend of mine who used to drive a beat-up Ford Taurus, even held private parties there! The owners are so accomodating it's almost like you've known them for years. I can't wait till the next time we stop by Buffalo again so that we can enjoy the best Thai food in town! Pros: Tasty, oh yeaaaah...., staff Cons: Can't think of any, can you old Raintree Resident? more

Delicious and not Pretentious 5/13/2006

I absolutely love Jasmine's. It's fresh and delicious Thai food prepared any way you may like. They will substitute and adjust spicyness according to your tastes. They have an extensive menu and also offer Vegan dishes. For appetizers try the chicken sa-teh or the spring rolls both very good and for the main course try the Pad Thai or the Red Curry Chicken or Beef and finish off with the coconut ice cream. It's Thai done just right and is just as good as any thai place in NYC. Pros: Food , Value, Extensive Menu more

I would say this is a decent place to go for Thai cooking in this area, if you don't feel like making the drive to Rochester which has far better eating options. But at least Buffalo has the Simmering Clay Oven, which is a great place for north Indian cuisine... more
