Best

Aki is getting better and better.. I was there a year ago and I thought the sushi was OK....now it is fantastic. Plus the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it!!

Not worth $20 for all you can eat 6/12/2005

I love sushi, but I am the type to order sashimi with little or no rice because I love the fish so much. The all you can eat was as i expected, paper thin pieces of fish with tons and tons of rice. I would have gotten jsut as much fish , and a lto less rice for the same price or less al a carte. Pros: poorly made rolls, fish was too small Cons: good service, fish was fresh more

The Sushi and Sashimi was great, for All You Can Eat, they didn't serve you a large clump of rice. Service was good, they food came right up quickly. They place is a brightly lit, probably to compensate for the dark walls. The place reminds me of an old, rock & roll, dive bar. Perhaps it converts to that after dinner, ha ha ha. Pros: Sushi, Sashimi Cons: Decor more

Aoi 6/6/2004

I never recommend Aoi for the atmosphere, but for the price of the all-you-can-eat sushi menu, you can't beat the quality of the food you'll receive. I've always gotten fresh sushi every time I've eaten at Aoi, and the service is normally pretty good. Pros: Inexpensive, Good sushi more

very good but not efficient 8/17/2003

this restaurant is very unique and comfortable. food is sometimes good but not always outstanding: sizewise. there is a bar sitting and having good cocktails and japanese sake would make you feel, well, is this really japanese restaurant?, because of the decoration and atomousphire. there is a very kind waiter named ""Tiger"". he is just fun, fun, and well trained. why don't you try something different??? will be unique, again. more

Love this place! 6/27/2003

I've been going to this place regularly for their sushi buffet since freshman year of college. It's one of the best places to go with a group of sushi-loving friends-- or to watch a bunch of frat brothers in a sushi-eating contest... It's all about the point system. :P The staff is extremely polite and friendly, and know exactly that they are talking about. On busy weekend nights (Friday-Saturday), it might take quite a bit longer to get your food, but that's not because of the service, it's because the two poor sushi chefs behind the bar can only make sushi so fast for a completely full restaurant. On other nights, the dining experience is perfect. I definitely recommend to this anyone who is a no-frills sushi lover, and has a few friends who love sushi as well. Pros: great food, fun atmosphere, great service Cons: no parking, crowded on weekend more

Shushi that melts 1/19/2003

This is absolutely the freshest sushi that I have had in the city. Each piece was tender and melted in your mouth. The presentation wasn't perfect though and between 2 people, we ended up spending a pricey $120.00 for lunch because of the speciality items that we ordered. more

Good value 10/24/2002

Aoi is clearly the best AYCE sushi in Philadelphia. It's not perfect but it's a good deal anyhow! Pros: Inexpensive, Sushi selection, Friendly atmosphere Cons: Slow service, Parking difficult, Must finish all food more

food ok - service AWFUL 7/21/2002

the sushi is decent, but there have been more than a couple of occasions where the service left all of us wondering ""what the heck???"" (ie. not having anyone take your order for 20 minutes; another occasion waiting 45 minutes after ordering before having to ask a waitress what's going on, to hear ""we ran out of rice""). service is often rude and slow (depending on server). our office has given up on this place, too bad cause its only a block away. more

I cant belive all you cheap people 6/26/2002

I am reading all the reviews for this restaurant and frankly I think every one who says ""o The sushi is ok "" ""you can only order 15 pieces at a time"" So what you are probably getting more than you would any where else. Plus I am a regular customer and I think the sushi is wonderful. The spicy tuna is amazing and where else can you go and spend 20 bucks for all you can eat?GROW UP GET OVER IT more
