Good: I liked the thoroughness of the method which is why I enrolled my child in the first place. Also pretty reasonably priced.. Bad: My child was enrolled at a level lower than his actual level. He was made to do simple additions like 2+1 for about three months. This was when he was already doing multiplications and fractions in his class. When I complained that this was below his level and he was getting bored, they started giving him simple subtractions like 5-1. Two months later, I decided to withdraw him. I was told I cannot get my money back [I had paid in advance] if I don't give a month's notice. I am still waiting.. Other: I heard from a friend who used to tutor for Kumon that this is standard practice for them. In the name of being thorough and building foundation, they keep kids at the same level [usually way lower than what they are capable of] for months just so they can get more money from the parents. I don't mind my child doing 500 simple additions or subtractions over four months if it is needed. But if it is done to keep my money roped in and not to help my child, I do mind! Just thought I'd share this with others..
