I am a 2001 graduate of JMU and I still miss it every day. It had everything you could want from a university - the resources of a big university, with a small university feel. The faculty was excellect and really cared about the students, as did most of the administration. The university had over 300 student organizations and JMU was ranked as one of the top activist universities in the country - so if you want to get involved and make a difference, this is the place to do it! As an in-state student, the tuition was more than affordable, and the cost of living in Harrisonburg was ridiculously low. With over 15 restaurants on campus, there is a variety of food to choose from, and most of it is excellent - not stereotypical campus food. Most dorms are fairly large and comfortable, and the a lot off campus apartments are very affordable and almost brand new with numerous amenities.
Take an official tour of JMU to experience its charms for yourself...this could be the best 4 years of your life as well!
