My husband and I absolutely love this tapas restaurant and have even considered opening one in our current hometown (Lincoln, NE) because we love it so much! We typically order 6-7 tapas and share them all. The small portions come out of little plates and typically contain 2 servings each. Some favorites include the quail and brushetta. more

This is a great restaurant for tapas. I am amazed at the offerings. The 70-plus choices at Jaleo are available hot or cold, with or without meat, mild or wild in flavor, light or hearty. Potato omelet, garlic shrimp, figs with ham -- there's something for every mood. The servings might appear small but are quite filing. And the complimentary bread to go along with is just out of this world. more

I’m sorry. I don’t get it. I really don’t understand what is so great about this restaurant. Everyone, I mean everyone told me to go here because I truly enjoy tapas. So, I took my father and his girlfriend there expecting to have this fantastic meal. Boy, were we disappointed. First off, we ordered a pitcher of Sangria. This “pitcher” was the smallest pitcher I ever saw Sangria come in. It was more like a carafe. Plus, the Sangria was very weak, and I didn’t appreciate paying $18.00 for fruit juice. The food was very greasy and tasted sub par. The waiters did not know what table which orders went to, so they simply interrupted each and every conversation to mutter, “This yours?” The service was bad. The drinks were bad. The food was bad. Maybe the Jaleo in Bethesda is different, but trust, me, the one in Arlington is not the place you want to go for a fun, tasty dinner. more
