J Crew 4/16/2006

J Crew is experiencing a renaissance as a business. Many of it clothes are now made in Italy. While this has driven the price up somewhat the quality of the fabric and the cut has improved dramatically. Service is unobtrusive here, almost too withdrawn at times. Many of the stores only carry a limited selection of what is available in the catalog and on line but J Crew is happy to order something for you that you can try on at the store. J Crew sells both men and womens clothing with an emphasis on east coast preppy. This is a great place to come for the basics or for travel clothes. Sales take place all year round and are often worth the wait. more

Meh 4/13/2006

J-Crew has a great selection of updated classics and boasts an impressive jean selection in my opinion if you're not one to tote around a two-hundred dollar "7" label on your butt. However, I am always a little weirded out by the fitting of most of the Crew's clothing. Some of the shirts especially fall very loose and are more boxy then I would like. Not exactly the most attractive fit in my opinion. The shoes are great though, no doubt about that! I was longing over some suede ballet flats for all of last winter's seasonal line but never had the wallet to dish out 115 dollars for a pair of shoes. The pricing is just in line with other University Village stores-- high-end and ridiculous at some points. If you can afford it and it fits you well, then go for it-- the quality of fabrics are great, especially the interior lining of jackets. They always have a small sale selection but it always seems to feature the seasonal line "duds". Nothing too exciting to be found. But hey-- do some searching, our tastes our different, of course. more

A nice place to find clothes that can be worn in any setting, except maybe a grunge concert. Their business suits have a younger feel to them and their selection of ties is brilliant. The casual clothes and jeans are extremely comfortable. The price is expensive but no more then abercrombie more

Flip-Flop, Flip-Flop, Flip-Flop 6/23/2005

Hands down, the absolute best basic rubber flip-flop on the market. They're thick yet flexible, tons of colors and the price is right. There's no need to buy any other flip-flop. J Crew will do you right. more
