It appears as they are hiring local help. So sad to see any place fall due to demographics! But there's still Domino's on Harlem. more

They act like your bothering them when you call, then just to get an attitude! But then I go to pick up my order for a huge party I'm having they lost my bread order and don't have any more then tells me to try jewel! Later We have cake it was not was I ordered and the cake was horrible my guest did not eat it. I call the next day to get told theirs noting wrong!!!!!! This is not a true Italian bakery better off on Taylor street where they still have bread at 10 a.m in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Good: They use to have Excellent Bakery, Key Word Here ( USE TOO! ). Bad: seems they have hired help maybe at a lower wages, because the Quality has Changed! Like they do not take Pride in their baking, very dry, not taking the time to decorate to look nice.and the Help Needs to speak and understand ENGLISH!!!! REMEMBER THIS IS AMERICA, AND IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE AN ITALIAN BAKERY, NOT A SPANISH BAKERY!. Improvements: Add Love, Care, and take Pride in what their making, Be Considerate, Thoughtful and Kind in Communicating with the Customer.. Sorry...I have been very dissappointed in this bakery for the last year. I thought I finally found a Good Italian Bakery in the suburbs. Well their quiality use to be good. But they are slipping. At my Goddaughter's Shower today I was very dissapointed in the cake. I personnaly went with her mom to order the cake and it was ugliest cake have ever seen. Also it was soooooooooo dry. My little nephew could of decorated the cake better. Their BIGGEST problem is that the need people who understand english to be working in the bakery. I will never recond this bakery to anyone I know. Work in the bridal industry and you can be sure of this. more

I have been going to the Italian Bakery in Addison for many many years. No doughnuts or long-johns or brownies but OH MY GOD Cannolis. You have not had a cannoli until you have their's. There is no comparison. All the other cookies and pastries are great too. CASH ONLY more

I grew uup on taylor street and always had Farrara Bakery. I started going to the Italian Bakery in Addison about ten years ago ,and refuse to go anywhere else. The people are great and the pasteries and cakes are the best. You wont be disappointed. If you are looking for a wonderful cake for any occasion, try the cream puff cake. Light mouse and cream puff patry combine into a delicious, light European dessert. The best Italian Bakery that I have been to in the Chicago Land area. The pastries are excellent. I have been to other Italian bakeries in the Chicago suburbs so far Italian Bakery in Addison is the best. more

Used them for my daughter's baptism party...forget the cake from Dominicks - it was pretty, but, if you want authentic bakery flavor, then cannolis all the way! more

My mouth is just watering thinking about this place! This is the only place I would buy my canolli. It too is the only place I've been buying cake if I don't make it myself. It's a bit of a drive from where I live, but well worth it. It is best to order ahead, especially with the canolli because they make them to order. They also have "mini's" of everything, including lobsters and mushrooms. They only take cash, so be prepared. A truly old fashion italian bakery. more

The Italian Bakery is the traditional little corner bakery that everyone remembers from their childhood. Something is always baking, the prices are very reasonable and you know that everything you buy from there is delicious. That childhood memory continues with this establishment. You can tell how much this bakery is appreciated when you visit on a Saturday morning or Sunday morning. The lines are out the door and the number you take says 98 and they’re barely on number 11. But, still, people are waiting. The highlight of this bakery is their homemade Cannoli cake. Layers of vanilla cake with Cannoli cream and rum. A wonderful treat for any birthday or special occasion. The prices are low and the quality is excellent. Worth the trip out to Addison, IL. more
