This is an attraction that is not highly publicized and is more deserving of greater respect. THe staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. The exhibits change and are well maintained. The surround sound/movie demonstration about Texas and Texans is well worth the wait. Additionally, this institute hosts one of the best festivals in the city - The International Folklife Festival in June!
Pros: exciting, well maintained, inexpensive
Cons: poor parking, no military discount, difficult hours
