Fabulous! 3/15/2006

The institute of Contemporary Art will soon be moving to a bigger, better space in the Seaport district- due to it's enourmous popularity and strong backing of the community. Here is where you can go to see fabulous exhibits by the talented students at this school or occassional showings of already famous contemporary artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. The art here is wonderfully displayed, the admission low, and the assortment spans a range of new tastes. You will come away inspired and in awe of the creative minds. more

A must see! 10/26/2005

A must see!` Boston has lots of art collections and museums but this one takes the cake as far as modern art is concerned. The modern art scene is thriving in Boston yet this museum is not talked about as much as the more "traditional" museums. Your time will not be wasted by visiting this museum. it will really get you thinking. more

Contemporary and modern pieces create a classic gallery 8/20/2005

The Institute for Contemporary Art located in Boston's Back Bay is a tiny treasure in a city filled with art galleries and museums. I went with my college art class one afternoon and have taken every one of my friends and family back to visit. The museum itself is small but provides visitors with a great fun time that stimulates thought and discussion. If you do not have the patience to visit one of Boston's other great art museums, the Institute for Contemporary Art is a great place to learn and appreciate modern art. more

If you like contemporary art... 8/16/2005

The ICA displays a lot of artwork from non-US artists. On Thursday evenings, the admission fee is optional, making it a great place to go if you are a poor student or young professional. The exhibits are "temporary", so if you know of an exhibit that you want to see at the ICA, then you better go see it as soon as possible! Since the exhibits are temporary, there is always something new on your next visit to the ICA. The gift shop is cute and has "unusual" items for sale. more
