this may have been great last year, but this year it really stinks. Bad attitudes no mgmt direction and problems with the hotel being clean really should encourage you to drive on. What a shame it could be great but the owners obviously couldn't care less. Pros: health club, view Cons: service, location, cleaning more

Could not Believe It 12/30/2002

I was searching for a place to spend xmas, about 2 hours outside of Seattle and found Semiahmoo. even though your review was not good, I got a great weekend rate and gave it a try. This is the last great secret in Washington State. The rooms were beautiful, the staff overwhelming and the location made me feel like I was on a weekend escape at a rich friends house. I would go back anytime, the other two reviews must have hit a bad day. John Campbell - Bellevue Pros: setting, rooms, staff Cons: not much else around more

Fantastic at the minimum! 12/26/2002

I can't believe the two comments about this resort! we just left there and I needed to look up the address for my notes. I read the two comments which are here about the place and my jaw dropped. The food, the service the setting could not have been more perfect. After staying at 5 star hotels for years, i would take the comfort and positive attitude of this place anytime. The food in all restaurants was fresh, well priced and delicious. Perfect escape for a weekend!! those other two reviews must have been at the wrong spot!!! Pros: Service, Food, Setting Cons: slightly remote more

Editorial

  • The Scene
This Northwest resort serves as one of the area's most popular destinations for corporate meetings and retreats. Although much of its business is driven by group gatherings, the full-service hotel has something for everyone, including two golf courses, a spa, nightly movies and arts-and-crafts classes for kids.

    The Details
This 198-room property is set on land once occupied by a salmon cannery. It boasts comfortable accommodations with bleached wood furniture and accents that make it feel mountain rustic and modern at the same time. All of the rooms have views of the water or the on-site marina, and most boast fireplaces and balconies or patios. Guests can kayak, join a Friday night sing-a-long or go clam-digging or beach-combing. Biking and hiking the hotel's trails offer a nice opportunity to explore area wildlife.
