GREAT PLACE AND GREAT HOSTESS AND STAFF 6/8/2011

Katie, the owner, was the most helpful and charming host you could ever want to have in a Bed and Breakfast. Everything about the Inn was wonderful. I enjoyed the wonderful Breakfasts that both Katie and her assistant Michael made for me. The Inn was very charming giving you the feel of home. The cutest small dogs reside here. I miss them. It was very quiet and relaxing both inside the Inn and outside. I would go back today if I didn't live 2, 229 miles away. Thank you Katie and Michael. I loved everything. Shane more

Excellent bed and breakfast with most gracious hostess 9/29/2009

There was 4 of us that stayed in what I believe is called the garden room, it has two bedrooms and one bath with our own little yard area with patio. We stayed for one week and were extremely satisfied and elated with the manor in which we were attended to and made to feel at home. Katie serves the most delicious breakfasts and one only needs to ask and she is more than accomodating in almost any situation. Katie is a wonderful hostess and advisor on the sites in the Seattle area, she will set you on your way to a wonderful vacation. We all agree if we ever return to Seattle there is no other place we'd stay! more

Excellent Location. Very Clean and Comfy! Great value 2/23/2009

Lovely Bed and breakfast. Clean, friendly, comfortable. Felt like home. I stayed there for two weeks and will definitely be back. This B&B is what one would expect from a bed and breakfast. Warm and inviting. The decor of the house has such great attention to detail and colors. I really loved the period decor in this Arts and Crafts home.\r \r I stayed in the larger upstairs room which was super clean and cozy with a large comfortable bed. And a very modern bath.\r Katie, the innkeeper is friendly and knowledgeable.\r Breakfast was very organized, delicious and an ever changing menu. A typical breakfast includes choice of juice and hot beverage, fresh fruit dish and main course prepared with garden-grown herbs: Stuffed French Toast or Chile Rellenos Fritatta or Eggs Benedict or Florentine, which was my favorite.\r And lovely gardens.\r I was very impressed at the high standards of service this B&B had provided.\r Overall, I have to say I really enjoyed this place and it was well worth the money and I would look to stay here whenever I am in Seattle. All in all a perfect Inn! Pros: Homey atmosphere, knowledgeable innkeeper, close to town, quiet neighborhood more

Nice Inn, Horrible Hostess 8/8/2008

Our stay began on a bad note--the hostess, Katie, refused to let my wife and I see our room until she had interviewed us in the living room for 20 minutes after ordering us to put our bags down and sit. The next morning, as we drank flavored coffee we didn't like, Katie browbeat my wife about her vegetarianism and then told me in no uncertain terms that reading the newspaper in the breakfast room (a favorite morning activity of ours) was ""against the rules."" Rather than make a scene, I complied, but I left breakfast feeling like a 6-year-old who has been reprimanded by his grandmother.\r \r As noted in the title to this review, the Inn itself is charming and clean. The room was somewhat small, but the bathroom was newly renovated and modern. \r \r Needless to say, however, we would not choose to stay again unless there is a change in management or attitude. Pros: Clean, good location, good food Cons: Rude Hostess who imposed her house rules on guests more

A Home Away from Home 9/22/2004

I stayed at the Inn this past August. It was extremely relaxing, quiet and a good value. Katie (innkeeper) and her Mom, Fran gave me personal attention and were solicitous to all my needs. The Inn is a Classic Craftsman Home, with a cozy atmosphere with period antique furnishings and accessories. The 2 course breakfast was delicious. Stuffed French toast one morning & pancakes with apricots then next and on the third day a scrumptious frittata. Located in a very quiet neighborhood in the Queen Anne Hill district, I was just a short bus ride from Seattle Center, downtown and shopping. I will always stay here when I come to Seattle. Overall recommendation: excellent! Pros: Quiet neighborhood, Private bathrooms, Clean, comfy rooms more
