Our stay began on a bad note--the hostess, Katie, refused to let my wife and I see our room until she had interviewed us in the living room for 20 minutes after ordering us to put our bags down and sit. The next morning, as we drank flavored coffee we didn't like, Katie browbeat my wife about her vegetarianism and then told me in no uncertain terms that reading the newspaper in the breakfast room (a favorite morning activity of ours) was ""against the rules."" Rather than make a scene, I complied, but I left breakfast feeling like a 6-year-old who has been reprimanded by his grandmother.\r

As noted in the title to this review, the Inn itself is charming and clean. The room was somewhat small, but the bathroom was newly renovated and modern. \r

Needless to say, however, we would not choose to stay again unless there is a change in management or attitude.
Pros: Clean, good location, good food
Cons: Rude Hostess who imposed her house rules on guests
