One of the best places in Chicago!

Worst

... I wish the experience was better. Let's be frank... a restaurant needs to have good food AND courtesy.

Indian Food 3/15/2006

This is a great place to get authentic Indian food in the city. This place has a really nice ambiance and an even better food. My advice: stick to their buffet. You will get a good assortment of food in that and everything is always fresh and plentiful. Plus, the naan bread is so good. It is fresh baked, soft, and chewy. It goes really well with the spicy and yummy food here. more

This is a good option if you are in the mood for some good, authentic Indian food. The restaurant is really nice and very well kept. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is wonderful here. They have a huge menu and everything on it is delicous. They offer lots of different dishes here and everything is very aromatic and spicy. The waiters here are great and they do a good job at explaining the menu and making good recommendations. I enjoy going here for good Indian food. Also, check out their lunch buffet. more

Good Indian Buffet 12/14/2005

The buffet is pretty extensive and food is really fresh. During lunch hour, you get a lot of traffic from the medical staff and students from the nearby Northwestern Hospital. It is located on the second floor. Parking... either you circle round and round till you find an off-street one, park in the garage or just get there by the el! Overall good food, good value for a downtown Chicago restaurant. more

Creativity and color distinguish Indian Garden from the rest of the ethnic pack. Chef Ganga Rawat substitutes corn oil for traditional fat and creates gravy-based dishes with vegetables and spices rather than oils. Unusual dishes from the clay tandoor oven include the signature reshmi kebab--chicken marinated in yogurt and spices and cooked in a copper pan. Nearly half the extensive menu is devoted to meatless dishes. The special dinners, essentially combination plates, are a good way to explore the menu. The Streeterville location is one of three Indian Garden spots; one is located on Devon near Western and a third is in Schaumburg. This one though is the best and in the heart of the city. more

The Indian Garden Restraunt is one of the few places you can get a great tasting Indian meal downtown. They are at a great location, admist all the shopping and busniess centers. The food here is really great. What I like best about this restraunt is their lunch buffet. It's a very reasonably priced buffet that serves many different dishes. All the dishes are freshly prepared that day. There's lot for you to enjoy in that buffet. It's a great place to eat with a really relaxing atmosphere. Give this one a try! more
