I was shocked when your mechanic gave me the bill, as you clearly told me the total, with parts and labor, was $163.03. When I got the bill for $313.03, obviously I was not happy...

Old school work ethic and integrity 1/23/2016

The owners are skilled mechanics and you are dealing directly with them. They don't go on 'fishing expeditions' resulting in excessive and necessary costs to you--they practice the golden rule, fixing the problem at hand you brought the car in for, rather than intent on finding more problems to fix. They make recommendations for future service, but without pressure to make a decision at that moment. more

Small, unassuming auto repair shop, with mechanics that know their cars well. 1/21/2016

I had a problem with an engine light. I knew it had to be repaired as I needed the car smogged prior to registration. I found out, after a computer scan, that I needed a new catalytic converter. I was waiting for a thousand dollar repair bill. But the price was reasonable, certainly less than a thousand. The service was excellent. And the moment the part came in, they were able to repair it in 2 hours. I highly recommend Import Car Experts. Their outside isn't great, but the service is fantastic! more

32-year-old Corolla a "tough nut to crack" 10/24/2015

We have three cars serviced by ICE, one of which is an '83 Toyota Corolla. This is my 90-year-old mother's car, which she refuses to discard. Basically, the car is in pretty darn good shape for its years. But it is hard to find parts. Even so, ICE was able to replace the fuel pump and filter, then tune the car so that it ran better than it has for years. Yet -- it's back in the shop again because of an ignition problem. I'm pretty sure that this, too, will be resolved. I gave ICE the OK to take as long as needed to get the car running again and hopefully pass a smog-test in 2016. In the last go-around, I noticed that the engine compartment looked "clean as a whistle." I appreciate ICE's "do-or-die" assistance with this car. They've always done the best possible to keep our fleet of vehicles running and legal. more

'Old School' service; treat you like family 10/14/2015

They are very knowledgeable and perform expert repairs and recommend further work if they think you need it but do not pressure you. When you are dealing with Dick and Matsuo you are dealing with the owners. They both have pride in what they do and they want you to be satisfied. more

Auto Repair 4/15/2015

I took my 2006 Toyota Avalon to I C E for diagnosis and repair without an appointment. I was greeted by Dick with a friendly smile. A couple hours after I dropped my car off Dick called me with a preliminary diagnosis and a price. I was informed that the main issue had ro be repaired first and he woukd re-test to make sure that the underlying problem was corrected. Dick told me that they don't just replace parts, they repair cars. I am very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend him to my friends. In fact I made sure to get business cards to pass out. Thanks Import Car Experts. more
