imperial garden is one of the few places in fresno with good chinese food. the place isn't the cleanest, but that's an authentic chinese restaurant for you. The servica isn't great either so if you want a special night out, this isn't the place for you. more

customer service is TERRIBLE. Sure the menu looks appealing, but service absolutely TERRIBLE! Our last, and final visit to this place we waited a good 15-20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after we were seated. This man (supposively the manager) happened to walk by and said ""oh, your order hasn't been taken"". I asked him if they were usually this slow, given the restraunt wasn't even half full, and he snapped back stating they were busy with other customers and to stop complaining about have to wait 15 minutes. I asked for the manager, and he stated he was the manager. Not only was this ""manager"" rude, he could care less about losing customers. more

Their food is average. You get what you paid for. Their customer service: There is one waitress who is just absolutely rude. The first time that I took my family there for my mother-in-law's birthday, that waitress snatched the order form and the pen that was place on the table from me. She then said something snotty and walked over to the trash can to throw the paper away and ripped up a new form, then slapped it on the table. Then yesterday, a few months later, we thought that we would give this restaurant one more try. This time, it was with my brother, who's visiting me for the first time in 6 years. We sat down and ordered our drinks and when that same waitress came around asking if we wanted something to eat from the cart, my brother asked for the shrimp plate. We paused to see what she wanted us to do. So my brother thought that she wanted us to pick up the plate. He selected the plate and she literally snatched the plate from his hand, quickly unwrapped the shrimp plate, carelessly poured the soy sauce over, and slapped the plate on the table in front of him. This will be the last time that we will go there. One waitress smiled at us and was courteous, however. But the experiences left a sour taste in our mouths. This place was awesome for Dim Sum although it was very very busy, You must get there early and place your name on their list ASAP. If you are willing to try new things this is a great place to start. The price was acceptable and the service was great. Pros: variety of food and price Cons: long wait list more

there is no question which restaurant we're headed to when we're in town. this place has excellent chinese food, and not the imitation kind. their dim sum menu is great and their menu selection covers items you would find at a restaurant in china town. if you want ""real"" chinese food, you've gotta try this place.
