Great kid stuff at a good price - plenty of imagination toys rather than electronic/plastic junk.

They offer a good price for furniture, but the quality is so-so.

Good Prices, but lots of assembly required 4/5/2006

I like the prices and design of a lot of IKEA things,. Thank goodness my engineer husband likes to read directions and put things together. Guess we are a good team like that. IKEA can't be beat for inexpensive home items. I have purchased a buffet hutch, computer table, end table, throw rugs, planter boxes, and several kitchen gadgets at this location. My friend remodeled their kitchen with IKEA cabinets and had a great experience. Lots of staff available to answer questions. Check out the "scratch and dent" section for some rock bottom bargins. Also, I've eaten at the cafe. It was a good value. more

Definetly for those just starting to buy furniture OR remodeling their kitchen 3/17/2006

Ikea does 2 things very well. They make cool looking cheap furniture and they make some kick butt kitchens. If you are looking for either of those or even just for some new home decoration inspiration head to Ikea. They have everything set up for you to look at in different home environments so it's great for ideas. Also, super cheap, cool furnture that's a headache to put together but holds up pretty well for a few years. Don't go there expecting miracles. The San Diego location is usually really easy to navigate and not increadibly busy. more

Good place 9/23/2005

Good place to shop. although their resturant is bit pricey! more

Returns 9/9/2005

They are always great about returns and are fair with you at all times. Friendly and reasonable. I like the fact that I can purchase something there and if for whatever reason it doesn't work out, I just keep my receipt and I can return it more

Good starter furniture, quality could be better 8/7/2005

Probably eveyone has heard of Ikea, they carry good pieces, compact, easy to install and build, at a good price. These are starter sets though, and IKEA furniture tend to have a style that is eaily recognizable in a house. You cannot beat the price, the quality is ok, but I have had some borken pieces after a couple years of usage. Good furniture for the college student, someone just starting out, and new homes (In my case all my $$ went into buying the house!) Just don't expect to pass these furniture to your kids... If you have not been there, it's definitely worth a trip. If you like the style, but want more quality and a little bit more contempory and stylish setting, check out plummers furniture. (I rated them too.) more
