I know people from this church. They are friendly, pretty straight out honest about real life. No sugar coating problems in life. They're not out to put on a show of entertainment, so worship services are sometimes not "choreographed" but they're honest and not polished. Preaching is by a rookie pastor, who is improving all the time, and is just getting out of seminary. They've got spanish and english speaking people and services; almost all the people are "working class" and they run a small school (White Road Baptist Academy). Check it out. It's pretty cool. They have a "children's church" two Sundays a month, and they have a good sized field for soccer and frequent volleyball games on the property. A couple of times a year they have a camping night out on the property which is a lot of fun, and Saturday nights home Bible study groups.
Pros: Friendly congregation, nice building, honest about life, straight up about living your faith, nice pastor and family, and programs for all ages
Cons: tight finances, some people don't like accountability and this church requires it,
