Funny I only searched for salon,to see if it is legal for them to put so many stipulations on there gift card! Except for hear, have you ever heard of gift cards promoted during Christmas, expire on April 1st? Never thought of airing a complaint ,I have followed hair dresses, and a manicurist\r For close to 20 yrs. Never had a problem with them. But customer service is the worst. Was owed $10. For over a yr.,which they argued I used two gift cards at 1 visit? No,you excepted both and then over charged me! I complained to my hair dresses and owner,to no answer.\r Then I was thrown a new gift card from customer service. I turned to my hair dresser, and said Im done! I really started to believe the employees are stock owners, partners, something? Never again! PS ,I also started to receive horrible mani/pedi and eye brow waxing!\r more

I gave a Groupon to my wife for Christmas. She scheduled an appointment and received a confirmation email. When she showed up for her appointment, she was told that she was not in the reservation book and they could not help her. She showed them the confirmation email and they told her she was out of luck because they were booked and could only do a manicure for her instead of a 2.5 hour spa package. She would have to reschedule to use the Groupon, she was told. The mani was done at no charge, but by the time she left the salon, the polish was coming off. She drove to a competitor and had a mani/pedi done properly. Besides not being able to use her Groupon, she was treated rudely with a do-not-care attitude. At one point, an employee even laughed at her. My wife will never set foot in that salon again. It seems to be a well-known fact about this place after asking around. more

I had great service. I was a few minutes late and they were very accommodating. I went for laser hair removal-not much results from the first visit but I was told this was to be expected. Looking forward to my next visit. more

The medical spa staff are very friendly and they have a wide variety of services. They have really good customer service and their new location offers a relaxing environment. more

The greeting by the employee behind the 5/30/2012

The greeting by the employee behind the counter was less than enthusiastic. The best thing about this spa was the massage I got from Michael. He was professional and concerned about doing a good job. The rest of the visit went downhill from there. My 30 minute manicure lasted 10 minutes. I do a better job at home. She actually missed a second coat on one of my toes because she was in such a hurry. This salon is not well managed. I was not asked how my visit was or thanked when I left. I will not be back. There are too many other salons to choose from. more

Will never go there again 10/12/2011

says walk ins welcome! Only walk ins are not welcome! Drove an hour just to get there, as I walked in there was NO LINE workers walking around doing nothing at all! They told me they had no one to just cut my hair my friend was with me and they asked if I wanted to set up an appointment for the next day I turned and told my friend I thought walk ins were welcome another person who I wasn't even talking to gave me an attitude saying it's first come first serve! I'm not stupid I'm know first come first serve but for workers to be walking around and no customers in there at all and be told they had no one to cut my hair plus be given an attitude was unprofessional! I drove an hour just to get there! They stay open until 9pm I got there before 7:30pm! Very UNPROFESSIONAL! more

Bad customer service at Spa!!! 10/25/2010

Their customer service is aweful! You can pay upward of $400. for some of their over priced skin treatments, and you had better hope you don't have any problems because I double dare you to get a return phone call from them!! Their receptionist is aweful - rarely answers the phone and NEVER returns phone calls! more

Terrible customer service 10/6/2010

I book a massage with a new girl. I did not know that she uses her arms vs. her hands. It was a rough massage. I was looking forward to taking a hot shower afterwards only to find there was no shampoo, soap and what I thought was conditioner was lotion. After talking to the people out front all they did was complain about management. I had to ask for some hair detangler which they had to get from someone. Then I waited in the spa area to pay for a while. WHen I went out front they said I had to pay out there. Terrible customer service and bad managment. You would think they would have the basics! more

awful GREEN hair! 10/5/2010

started going to Identity in December 2009 wanting to try being a blonde from my naturally darker brown hair. Everything went great and I was a regular customer until July 2010 when I wanted to start transitioning back to my natural color (and a 45 minute wait for my scheduled appointment). Low lights were put in and it appear that my stylist, Amanda M., used an ash color after having previously used bleach on my hair. The result? Slightly green hair. It wasn't too bad with the low lights and the highlights. \r \r Then, I went back September 2010 and wanted to get as close to my natural color as possible. Well, she just went with straight brown instead of using a red color first. The result? Really green highlights bleeding through the next day. She had me wait over a week since she was out of town to put a toner on it, which seemed to help for about a week. When the green started showing through again, I was told I would have to pay to have it corrected this time.\r \r Really?? You make my hair green, after I pay hundreds of dollars for it, and then you have the audacity to tell me I need to pay to have it fixed from YOUR mistake? I have yet to hear back from an email I sent the company giving them an opportunity to remedy the situation before I file a complaint with the BBB. more

Horrible experience at Kenwood 8/29/2009

In a nutshell - had appt for skin spa treatment. Arrived at 1:30. Receptionist seemed confused that I had an appointment. Took me back to wait. Never greeted by receptionist in skin spa area. 1:40, the woman who I'm guessing was doing my appointment stormed in and starting a yelling fight with the front desk lady about how my appointment was making her late. She stormed past me, never acknowledged me. I asked the front desk lady if I should make another appointment. Without looking at me, she mumbled no. I got up and left. I told the receptionist out front what happened. Not sure if anyone told the manager. I left. I will never go back. A screaming fight is not something you should experience at a SPA! Pros: Pretty decor Cons: Horrible attitudes, lost reservations, no apologies more

Pleasantly Suprized! 8/7/2009

I just moved here, I owned my own business and started off on adventure to find a new stylist and spa. I of course demanded excellence as most do and Cincinnati is a big city. I was recommended to 3 major salons here, I read the reviews and I was willing to try all my recommendations, as I have. \r \r I will say for cutting edge talent and quality of service @ identity all my needs were met. Coming from a large city myself I realize competition is a factor but from the reviews posted below... I could not find one that was valid. I was treated to the Signature Collection and added a Highlight and Cut and I could not be more pleased and satisfied. The staff was accomodating and I did not feel pushed, snobbed, or hurried in my 6 + hours during my visit. New Management? New Staff?\r \r I was impressed! So much so, I posted here.\r \r Rachel Pros: Friendly Cons: Reviews from the past..... more

Color and Cut 6/7/2009

I talked in depth with my stylist Ryan. He understood what I wanted so I thought. I spent too much time there. However, when I got home I realized the flat iron he used to straighten my hair caused split / dead ends alI up and down my hair. I had asked for someone who could work with long hair and texturing but he seemed to have a hard time with it. Just barely cutting the ends and not texturing or cutting. I had knotted hair on the ends as he left all the layers untouched and barely trim the ends of my hair. One side was an inch longer than the other. The lengths all varied and layers were just random. I went back and he sliced into one side and cut a piece of my lenght by mistake and then left the other side of my hair untouched. After asking him my to balance and blend in my layers, I am not sure why he would not check to see if the new cuts were even with the rest of my hair. He cut into one side and left the other side untouched so now my hair is 1- 1/2 inch inch longer on one side again. With one side cut into more than the other again. Why would he not check this? He also cut a piece of my lenght by mistake. This is the most upsetting of all since I had tipped him nicely and tried to be very cordial. Why would any stylist cut one side of any person's hair and not make sure it was balanced with the other side? I also called back to talk with him and he did not return my call. I am never going to cut my hair again for at least a year. I have uneven hair and lost my long length. Pros: Nice Stylist Cons: uneven cut and overpriced color more

terrible service 1/11/2009

I was glad to see I was not alone in my opinion of Identity spa. I had been going there with my sister for a couple of years and I went before Christmas back in 98 and had a terrible hair cut. As soon as I got home my husband said it was uneven in the back and then my mother said the same thing two days later. Christmas was two days later so given the fact that we had family events coming up and my children were home for two weeks, I knew I couldn't get back in to have it ""fixed"" for at least a week. I called to tell them what had happened and asked if I could make an appt to get it fixed. They said they would ""fix"" it but I would have to pay for another hair cut because it had been over a week since I had been there and my ""some people go that often to get their haircut"". I went to Mitchell's to have it fixed (closer) and mentioned to the lady cutting my hair what had happened. When I was finished she told me she did it this time as a no charge and just hoped to see me back - that was 10 years ago - Never again will I go to Identity. Customer service means everything now days - especially when you are putting this kind of money out to ""look and FEEL good"". more

Worst Hair 11/28/2008

I have been going to Identity for 3 years, different artists, but my hair was border-line disaster most of the time. Unexperienced staff, bad customer service and expensive. more

The Best Hair Salon In Cincinnati 10/8/2008

I love Identity! I highly recommend it since I know all of the stylists that work there. I would trust all of them with my hair. We have had the best training from the top colorist from Soho New York, Joe Blackwell and other top proffesionals. All of the people I work with are very welcoming and friendly! Pros: great stylists with great training. Spa facilities are serene. Cons: sometimes a little busy, but full of life more
