I travel quite a bit for work and often frequent Japanese restaurants in whatever city I am in. Ichiban offers a very creative menu and a contemporary setting that one would not expect in Orlando. Ichban is by far the best Japanese restaurant that I have been to in Orlando. The food quality was excellent and my waitress was very knowlegable and friendly. I have lived in Orlando almost as long as this innovative and consistant restaurant.When I give into my temptation to try new localJapanese/Sushi restaurants, I always end up dissapointed.Ichiban's sushi is fresh, consistant, and beautifully prepared. Lack of turnover with employees and management, has made me feel like part of the Ichiban family. Servers have drinks on the table before I even order!It is def a hot spot for 20's-30's on Friday nights, perfect place to start out your evening. IF YOU ARE NOT A SUSHI LOVER, PLEASE STAY AWAY! ICHIBAN MENU IS LIMITED AND DULL! THIS PLACE SHOULD HAVE A DRIVE THRU WINDOW TO GO ALONG WITH IT'S MENU, AND FOR IT'S LACK OF PARKING. CORPORATE EVENTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO THE LACK OF SIZE, NO PRIVATE ROOM, PARKING, MENU AND LACK OF BAR. THE NEXT TIME I CRAVE BATTERED SHRIMP, TERRYIAKE CHCKEN AND A BEER I WILL GO TO THE FOOD COURT IN THE MALL, AND SAVE $10! more

AWESOME 8/13/2002

Ichban is by far the best Japanese restaurant in Orlando. I love the ambience ! Not only do they have excellent sushi and innovative rolls but the negimaki appetizer is so tasty!!! Ichiban still has the freshest seafood of all sushi places. I know a friend that got sick after eating at fuji's!!! more
