Ice Cream Co

Just done eating at this place and was very disappointed in the changes. One of my favorite things there was their great blue cheese dressing. What they serve now I can get at the grocery store. Prices were high for what you get with your sandwich. A pickle and a taste of ice cream like before. Gone is the bag of chips and the side of either a soup or salad you have to pay extra. $3.79 for a little and I mean little bowl of soup. I didn't even look to see what they charged for a larger version. I got two pieces of ham when I use to get so much even for a half of sandwich that I always left full. Service was slow even though it wasn't the waitress fault. Kitchen staff seems to not know how to read a ticket (I was watching). Sad cause I really loved this place and was so happy to hear it was opening up again. My son did like his BBQ sandwich. Now I am going to get something to eat and Its only been an hour since I left, Sorry, cause I was really hoping to be a regular patron like before. Never wrote a review before so this will tell you how disappointed I was and am. more

When I first moved to Modesto back in 1985, I walked into this shop and stayed there for over 22 years! Ted Beale and family ran it then and I became a true regular. Now that Rob Coey is the owner that friendliness and family atmosphere has been faithfully maintained! Halloween and Christmas is always the best time, when all the decorations get hung from the ceiling! The window paintings were a great addition, and the ice cream there has never missed a beat for flavor andserving size! I live back in New Jersey now, but I will always remember my great friends at The Ice Cream Company! Thanks, guys! more

I understand that the Ice Cream Company is under new ownership and I have to say that they are doing an excellent job! The staff were friendly, efficient and very fun. The food was excellent and the Ice Cream was to die for! If you are looking for a great place to sit down and have a wonderful sandwich or just an Ice Cream with friends this is ""the"" place to go! A safe and fun place for teenagers to hang out or for anyone that enjoys a great sandwich and to die for Ice Cream Sundae. Not just for the summertime either, the soups are great as well. This is a great alternative to pizza after sporting events or practices or just to hang out and enjoy the excellent food. Pros: Good Parking, Excellent Location, Great Staff more
