Ians has been a great shop in years 6/2/2012

Ians has been a great shop in years past; they were trusted for quality professional work; and importantly for their honesty! Now it's apparent this has changed. I'm thinking they have more customers than they can handle or they are experiencing other troubles. Replies to concerns about tires, brakes, shocks etc bordered on the ridiculous to the absurd. To verify I checked with several other mechanics and was provided clear explanations including diagrams and evaluation of what has gone amiss with work done by Ians. It was assumed that Ians would make their work good to maintain their reputation. This has not turned out to be the case, rather they offered improbable excuses, a begrudging attitude, greasy hand prints, bad smelling spills and a vehicle that borders on dangerously unsafe. Ians take this rating as a warning to improve your services and honesty. There are other places in town that still offer excellent service and a wealth of expertise. more

Excellent; honest; efficient. 6/29/2011

It was a pleasure doing business with this company. I had to take my car in because one of the back tires had a nail in it. I was greeted quickly and pleasantly, though it was obvious everyone was very busy. My car was taken in within three minutes, and work began immediately. I wasn't there more than ten minutes overall even including writing out the check. The tire was fixed and all the tires had their air pressure checked. My absolutely trustworthy mechanic, who recommended them, was right. This is a business that is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended. more

Ian's fixed the nail in my tire 3/3/2011

I had a slow leak in my tire starting a few weeks ago. I bought 4 new tires from Ians about 3 months ago. I emailed Ian's, told them of my situation and when I called my home for messages 2 hours later, Ian had received my message and called to leave the message - ""sure, you can bring your car in...we're here until 5."" Since Ian wasn't in the office he said would call the office to let Tim know I would be coming in. Well I also got a phone message from Tim letting me know he got Ian's message and I could bring my car in. I did that day, it WAS a nail in the tire, and the tire was repaired. I was very happy with the quick service AND the 2 phone calls.\r I'll be a regular customer!\r more

Incompetent 1/10/2011

DO NOT GO TO IAN'S TIRE!!!!!! They are the stereotypical dishonest know nothing tire shop. I went into Ians for an alignment. The front tires had worn pretty bad on the inside. I had recently replaced the rear tires but let the fronts go for awhile. So I said go ahead and get me a quote. They quoted me 348 installed. I asked him to double check and because that is a very low price. I asked again that is for the exact same tire that I have on the rear? ""yes"". Awesome, do it I'll be back tomorrow when you have the tires. Well come to find out he quoted me for Toyo Proxes 4's and not My Toyo T1-R which is a far superior tire. Ugh, so I go inside and explain the situation to the guy who I talked to the day before. Oh I'm sorry man but it's ok because your rear tires are gonna need to be replaced soon anyways. My tires were less than 3 months old!!!!!!! Long story short I got the correct tires two days later and had to pay the difference in price. During the alignment they claimed that they couldn't get the caster into spec and my car must have been in an accident. I didn't say a word, I just walked straight to the manager and asked him to follow me please. Walked over to my car on the rack with him and the tech and pointed to my ADJUSTABLE tension rod. I could write for pages about how incompetent the alignment tech was but I am sick of typing. Bottom line DO NOT GO TO IANS!!!!! more

Truths Behind The So-Called Nice Service 12/26/2010

I have to agree with some of the other reviews the workers at Ians were plesant, and they did get the job done in a timely fashion..but I guess I would too if I was an illegal immigrant who was happy and greatful that I had found an employer like Ian Miller who wouldnt care that I was using fake or fraudulant documents to legally obtain work in the US, and I guess I would be pretty nice to the people that were watching get behind the wheel of their nice expensive cars, not knowing that I didnt currently have a drivers license and because Im illegal I most likely will never have one. If I were you I'd find another shop, one where the owner and workers are more honest.. has anyone ever noticed the fact that Ians has no price sign...I wouldnt either if I never charged the same thing for the same job... more

Great Service - Nice People - Low Prices 3/5/2010

I have been taking my family and business vehicles to Ian's for longer than I can remember and have always been happy with the service, pricing and the people. Great place for tires, oil change and basic service - I highly recommend Ian's! Plus there is a doughnut shop next door... more

Do not recommend, Bad Service 1/7/2010

I have been going to Ian's for years and always get my brakes and tires done there. Today I went because I must have a nail in my tire (which I bought there) and it is slowly leaking air. I asked them if they could check it out and fix the whole since it may be under warranty and I know they do it for free at Big Brand Tires even if you didn't buy the tires there. Ian's said they would charge me $22 to do it. I told them I would go to Big Brand instead since it is free and they told me they would give me a discount. It is not that I am being cheap. I just expenct that if we have given them thousands of dollars in business over the years, they should do this little thing for free since the competitors do it. I was very disillusioned and will not go back. So I ended up going to Big Brand and they did it for free. Such a little thing to loose so much business off. Cons: Service bad, not helpful more
