I went to Dr.Goban because my child (7) had ear pain on and off for a while and ear drainage. The first time i went she checked his ear, nose.throat and said your son can't hear from his right ear and gave me ""Loratadine"" she said it was for allergies? Anyhow she gave me an appt for 1 wk later for a hearing test just the test she was not there 3rd time i went she said ok your son failed hearing test see you back in two wks for his surgery! Ummm i said ""you never talked to me about surgery"" She said you'll come back a day before the surgery so you can see the video. I said can you explain to me a lil more about this kinda of surgery she said ask anybody in my waiting room or look it up online. REALLY? This lady is out of her damn mind i thank god i realized what kind of doctor this was.....Don't let you children near this lady thats not all way more reasons why i will never go back so many that its sad you would think that because she went to Baylor she would atleast know some manners or kid skills but Nooooo!!!!!!!! Horrible doctor! Avoid her! 7/20/2008

I went to Dr. Gobran for a clogged ear / swimmer's ear with pain. For $135, she looked in my nose, ears, and throat and then said I had wax in my ear and told me to get an OTC ear wax remover (Debrox) and return in a week. After the first day of following her instructions, I had SEVERE ear pain and thought I needed to go to the hospital. I showed up at her office first thing the next morning, but her staff said she wouldn't be in until later. This turned out to be a blessing as it forced me to find another ENT doctor immediately (Houston ENT Clinic). Turns out, I had a severe ear infection and a hole in my ear drum! The receptionist even said that Debrox makes the problem worse! When I told my doctor I had went to Dr. Gobran he said, ""OH GOD!"" and that he shouldn't say anything else. My coworker also told me he went to her once for a nasal problem and she told him that she would need to BREAK HIS NOSE first. Ummm, no! DR. GOBRAN IS A QUACK AND I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO USE HER! more

Patients not wanted! 4/11/2007

This is the first time I have left a review of any kind, but I was so saddened by my experience with Dr. Gobran. I am a smoker. I destinctly got the feeling that this doctor turns her nose up to smokers. \r \r There was little to no eye contact with this doctor. It was a very rushed feeling from the time she came into the room. I felt as though I had interupted her day by being in her office. She came in the room, asked why I was there. I told her that I had something in my throat that had effected my voice. I could feel that there was a lump of some sort when I swallow also. She looked in my ears, nose, and throat, and wrote me a prescription for over the counter sinus medicine (because I did not have insurance). And told me to come back in two weeks. Hmm! All that for a very stiff price, may I add. Any way, I will go back to an ENT. But not this one. For my next visit she might just prescribe mouthwash. Pros: Waiting room dirty. No waiting. Appointment on time. Thank goodness. Cons: Does not take time with patients more
