Thanks so much for a wonderful night out! My husband and I took our neighbors to see Impulse Theater on Friday (12/0806, the 7:30 show). We had so much fun I can hardly describe it! By the end of the show, my facial muscles actually ached from laughing so much. The cast is smart and funny and quick witted. Our favorites were John Bauer and Adrian Holquin - but all the actors were wonderful. We bought tickets a few weeks in advance and were glad because the theater was packed & we had great seats. The drink service wasn't the fastest but the show more than made up for it. Overall well worth the money, well worth the time. My husband wants me to set this up again so we are definitely going back! more

A Funny Night Out! 2/9/2006

Whether you are with a group of friends, or on a date, the Impulse Theater is a great place to go! It is an improve show, where the audience has chances to participate! No show is ever the same! You will laugh so hard you will cry! There is no drink minimum, which is nice. I recommend you make reservations ahead of time because it fills up quickly! more

Like Whose Line is in Anyway... 1/30/2006

...without the annoying Drew Carey! These wise-cracking improv comedians are Denver at its best. I always bring out of town company here for a great night of entertainment. Audience members throw out suggestions for topics and this creative troupe takes it from there! I never go there without busting a gut laughing and it's clean, so your in-laws won't be offended! Always a high-energy experience. I highly recommend them. more

Very funny! 6/22/2005

Impulse theater is a smaller theater located in downtown Denver. Everything they perform is improv with a few subjects to choose from. They're one of the funniest shows in the area. There is also a bar in the theater, a restaurant upstairs, and pool tables on a third floor, as well as a dancing area. Definitely a great place to spend an evening. more

    Impulse offers a fast-paced evening of familiar, well-defined improv structures. Each week, a different combination of the group's broad membership unites to provide two hours of high-energy participatory theater. The audience, prompted by an emcee, provides suggestions that are created on the spot, utilizing a minimum of props and costume pieces. The laughter is not surefire, as the risk of having a piece fall flat is ever-present in spontaneous performance.
