As always Orlando Hutchinson and his crew arrived as scheduled and did a thorough job of checking and tuning up my a/c to get it ready for the long hot summer. Orlando even gave me a heads up regarding the R22 refrigerant phase out. Basically the refrigerant my unit uses will no longer be produced by manufacturers by 2020 and will only be available in recovered/recycled/reclaimed form. I appreciate the information as it enables me to prepare for future repairs or replacement of parts and even the unit itself so I am not caught unawares. more

We have home warranty insurance. They gave us two other contractors who shall remain nameless, to call to fix our air. Both were completely rude on the phone. One of them argued that he had up to 48 hours to call me back to schedule an appointment. I am a paying customer! That being said, I called Hutchinson and the person on the phone was really nice. I fully expected to have to wait a couple days to have someone come out, since its about as hot as can be and everyone needs AC service...these guys came out and assessed the issue the same day I called. They came back when they said they would and fixed the problem. Now our house is cool again. The price quoted was the price when the work was done. The guys who did the work were really nice and explained everything they were doing. I hope I never have to call them again BUT if I do, I know they will be great! more

We were pleasantly surprised they were able to send a tech the same day we called as we have had 2 weeks of 100 degree weather. The first tech diagnosed the problem but didn't have a fan motor on the truck. He called it in and the dispatcher called us back later to tell us another tech would be able to do the repair before 9pm the same day. She gave us a 1 1/2 hour window and the second tech called within the time frame to say he was on his way. The repairs took a little longer than we were told but the estimate we were given didn't change. We only paid what we told by the first technician. Both techs were knowledgeable and professional. Overall experience was very satisfying. more

Called and spoke with Orlando. Made appointment for the next day. Eric arrived promptly, gave me a business card, checked out the furnace, described the services he performed (checked vents, filter, thermostat, checked for gas leaks, ignition process). Eric said he pulled the flame rod out and cleaned off oxidation to prevent a future ignition failure due to dirty sensing rod. There was no major air leaks in ducting. Furnace running well. Eric was courteous, informative, professional. All done for the special 69.00 furnace check. more

I called Hutchinson to do a diagnostic on my A/C system prior to summer. My A/C system was approximately 30 years old and had been giving me problems every summer so it was no surprise when the technician told me the unit had some issues. Some bad valves needed to be replaced as well as it needed to be recharged with coolant. Very expensive repairs. I inquired about the cost of a new unit. A new much more efficient unit would run $9000 installed. More money than I had in the bank. The technician told me about the Hero Program run by the State of California to help homeowners upgrade their A/C units to more efficient ones. This program, if I qualified, would finance 100% of the cost and the payments would be put onto my property taxes and I would be able to declare it on my taxes. He made a phone call to the Hero people and I got approved over the phone. The technician was so helpful and very professional. Orlando Hutchinson and his wife Teresa got the paperwork filled out and delivered it personally for my signature. Upon final approval of the paperwork and delivery of the A/C units they went to work on the installation. It took a couple of days to get both units installed (one outside and one in the attic). They arrived on time and worked non stop to get everything working as it was pretty warm outside. Orlando always kept me informed of their progress. On the final day of installation Orlando worked all day and didn't leave until 9:00 pm making sure everything was perfect with the units operation. Orlando and his team handled all the permits, paperwork, testing....everything. I have never worked with a company that was so committed to quality and service. Believe me, if you need A/C service they will not disappoint. They are there when you need them!!! more

Orlando called me at 10:30 and said he could come early, its already 97º out, I told him heck yes. He showed up, I told him what's wrong. He runs tests and comes to me with diagnosis and costs. I agree to it, no problem, then he tells me the motor he has is too small, the supply house just closed, its saterday, My heart sinks, my kids and I are not comfortable, its 100º inside house now. I asked well what can we do? He says let me work on it. 1 hour goes by, then 2 we're all thinking its good he's not come in sayin sorry buddy wait till monday, he finally comes in and says lets test it. He does cool air is comin through the vents I'm ecstatic. My daughter saw someone come and go in those 2 hours. I asked Orlando how did u do it? H said oh, my wife went and got the motor and brought it to me. They tested and fixed my FAU and filter. I'm in amazement, but now I start thinking ok here comes the hammer. He gives me the bill its the same price he quoted me when he got here. I'm so impressed by him, they went well beyond the call of duty so to speak. I will recommend them to everyone and anyone. Orlando and his brother are amazing people. more

After a throughly well done walk through I was given an estimate which I liked. The owner of the company Mr. Hutchinson personally came to work with two of his employees to to the moving and installation of the unit. they checked the amount of freon, checked the "balance" of air intake as well as cold air output. overall the company was very professional and personal with us Mr. Hutchison personally gave a 1 year warranty in the work and offered to call him if something needed attention in the near future. I will recommend this company highly. more
