My 7 year old daughter has severe asthma. We were sent to Dr. Hunsicker and Dr. Yen to get a sleep study done. Dr. Hunsicker examined her and said that there was no need for any testing, she needed to have her tonsils and adnoids removed. Her airway opening was the size of a finger tip. She was scheduled for surgery the next week. Dr. Yen performed the surgery. Amazing!!! My daughter has not slept through a whole night in years because she could not breath.. The night of the surgery, she slept all night. Dr. Yen is great with kids. He goes above and beyond. I have never had such a positive experience with any other doctor. I truly believe my daughter would have been very nervous and scared if it wasn't for Dr. Yen. He also made sure all of her questions were answered. Oh, one more thing. When I scheduled the surgery with his staff they told me Dr. yen was originally scheduled to have the day off (it was a holiday.) However, I was told he wanted to work that day because so many children needed to be operated on and he didn't want them to have to wait for a later date. Thank you Dr. yen.
