Where to start ??? First , I just got really tired of hearing...I'm sorry but (fill in a name) is no longer with us but (fill in a name) is just as good. Came to City Search and did some research and VOLIA !!! found The Houston Massage Clinic and Rick Juby . He's in Mid Town . Professional . Listens which in an of itself is terrific. I can't tell you how many massage therapists I have been to that I have tried to talk to and they simply did what they wanted to do. He is not a spa but a damn good body therapist. Sooo now when my back hurts or my muscles ach from tennis I call and no longer hear those words beginning with.."I'm sorry but.. Thanks Rick !!! Very Knowledgable... Listens 7/3/2006

I am a Stewardess on my feet constantly...I fly into Atlanta in the evening and back the following morning...it is nice to be able to call and set my appointment for my return...have him drive over to the house...he brings everything with him...works out all my kinks and sore muscles from standing and stooping and I am good to go once again...this is my fourth time to use him and I am certainly very very happy with his knowlege and abilities...sorry but city search will not allow me to answer any question you might have...but he is very very good... charlene Pros: makes house calls...works by appointment only...deep tissue is wonderful...works evenings Cons: none more

You cannot beat this massage! 6/22/2006

I just came back from getting my first massage from the Houston Massage Clinic and I am thrilled! The best money I've spent in awhile. Mr. Juby is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He puts you at ease right away and actually listens to you when you tell him what works and what doesn't. Based on other reviews I was expecting less of his work space but was pleasantly surprised. The environment was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. I will be a repeat customer for sure--my muscles never felt better and I still can't get over how affordable it was! I found The Massage Place! 6/12/2006

I have been going to see Dick for a few months and his work never ceases to amaze- and completely relax! I was initially weary of going to a male therapist, but he is extremely professional, accesible, and skilled. I had gone to several therapists who made the room smell pretty, but if you are looking for The massage without all unecessary frills this is the place to go. I highly recommend him. more

What a nice place 5/24/2006

A good friend referred me I must admitt to that up front. But , I did look on city search to see what folks said. To me personally the value is terrific. In 60 minutes I had relexology for my hands and feet ... quads worked on ... neck and shoulders and back ...hot towels ...gluts.. hamstrings ... calves and the bottoms of my feet done... Hot , Moist Towels in a regular massage 4/13/2006

Most of the therapist I have been to around town here have not had strong enough hands for me and NONE have ever used hot , moist towels on me. I am not sure if this is some sort of secret since none of the Dick's reviewers have ever mentioned this in their reviews but it is a great touch. This is the first time I have ever fallen alseep 2/18/2006

First , I have never used a male therapist before. NEVER ... This past Thursday however , I was getting my hair done at a shop close by and I saw the awning for the clinic and thought I would drop in to see the place. I must admitt. Very nice. Quiet. Clean. Professional. I asked if I could get a massage and was told that he works by appointment only. I was a bit taken back but made an appointment. I think more out of curiosity. After a brief chat with me to find out my wants and needs ( something no one else had ever done) he put me on the table and went to work. By the time he finished I felt incredible. Thanks Dick. NO hype ..Just great work 1/12/2006

I hate sounding like some of the others already here but I had not been to a male therapist either. In chatting with a friend of mine about not being able to find someone with strong hands she referred me to Dick . She had already seen him several times so I decided to go. Quiet atmosphere. Very secure. Big guy with alot of knowledge and his prices are terrific y'all . I felt really really good when he finished. What else can I say. Great Massage and Great Price... 1/1/2006

I just left the Clinic and feel wonderful.... it was great to sit and actually talk a massage therapist and tell them where I was hurting and then actually have him work those areas ... not only that but to actually have someone who asked about pressure ...what a treat... Some explanations about the review 11/14/2005

The atmosphere was was highly recommended because it was at my own home. Since Dick is the staff and he "was" very good so I checked "highly recommended. He arrived on time. Brought everything with him. Set up his table. Had his own towels and sheets. He even had his own music. 90 minutes later I was pretty much mush. I felt very comfortable with him in my home. He did create one problem though. It raises a question in my mind as to why I should drive to a therapist now. I can call him and don't have to leave my home. Cellulite work is honest 11/9/2005

Not sure how many other ladies have this problem . Cellulite.. But , it has been nice having Dick work on mine. On the initial visit Dick gave me some great info on cellulite and explained that he was NOT a cure all . I can and will say that since he has been working on my legs they are looking better than they have in a long, long time . Even my husband says so. No magic creams or gels . Just his hard work. Very professional ... Very knowledgable... 11/8/2005

I am not going to say that I won't go "out" for another massage but I will say that after having Dick come to my house to give me my massage it is highly unlikely. How terrific to be in my own home ... have a really good deep tissue massage .... and then NOT have to get up from the table totally relaxed and drive home in all the traffic... he's the one that has to fight the traffic... One of the Best Home experiences we have had 10/5/2005

Dick arrived at our home on time ... professionally dressed ... set up his table chatted with us while he did so and was all around very pleasant ... he listened to what areas each of us wanted worked on and then set about doing exactly what we requested .... I was particularly impressed with his discreteness with my wife Mary and frankly amazed that he covered the areas he did and not once had an "ooops" if you understand what I mean... it was a great two hours and we will use Dick again ... In short...it is nice to find a male therapist with really good knowledge ... great hands...and who is incredibly discrete when working on a female...I have had female therapist that were not as discrete as Dick is .... I travel for a living and finally, can now come home after flying in those cramped seats and have a therapist that can put me back together again.... and to say that I have been to lots of therapist is an understatement ...and I have to say I was a bit leary of some of the reviews here on Dick..however I figured that at his prices what did I have to lose...well I can say I have found a very knowledgable therapist who actually listens to what I say ... I left his table feeling absolutely the best I felt in a long while... A good friend of mine recommended Dick to me...we both travel (airlines) a great deal and I could never figure out how he always came into the office after we got home in such good shape...now I understand...if your looking for great deep tissue work that will take out all your stress points and your muscles back in working order this guy is the guy...granted there are no frills...just a great desire on his part to make sure that you get what you need in a terrific session....no question I will return... It was nice to finally find a large person with large hands ...Dick works on a lower table than most of the therapist I have been too ...so with his height and leverage he applies a great deal of pressure while working out knots .... price wasn't bad either...I'll go back.. I know that sounds like a come on but trust me with my back and leg problems I am a woman that has been to many, many "spas" and many "therapist" in Houston and have paid prices all over the board for some average and some really terrible massages.... if you want someone to actually listen to you and then someone who can actually do the work this guy is the person...and at $1 a minute he is a steal...love the guy and his work...not crazy about the location although it is safe,very clean and upfront parking in midotwn and I will go back no question about it...
