House of Genji

This place is an experience all in itself. They have chefs that cook your food to order right in front of you with a little flair. Food is good, but its the entertainment of watching them cook your food that is the great. Dinner is expensive, but you can get the same food and service at lunch for half the cost. more

I love this place. It is always good. They give you more food then Benihannas so the people that say this is not as good there right it's better! We always go on our birthdays and sometimes just to go. I am going tonight. I give this place a 10 Pros: Great food Cons: Could remodel but that doesn't do anything about the great food. more

I have been going to House of Genji for over 10 years now and absolutly love the food there. If you're looking for a great Fillet Mignon with a twist - Genji is your place. The meal starts out with a salad then a great bowl of missho soup followed by rice, vegtables and shrimp with the the main course coming last. With the main course you get two dipping sauces - ginger sauce and mustard sauce. They're mustard sauce is absolutly delicous and is one of the things that differenctiates Genji from the chains. I'm not sure where they get their meat from but the quality is excellent, rivaling some of the larger top steakhouse chains. I have heard others complain about some of the seafood dishes but as this is a steakhouse and you really have to order their specialty. Pros: Food and Service is excellent Cons: needs an interior makeover more

I ended up at House of Genji because Benihana was already booked for the evening and we had the itch for some teppanyaki. I can't even tell you how disappointed I was! Pros: I can't think of one. Cons: , Worn Down Interior more

This place is really fun with a big group of people, less so for a date or romantic evening. The food is good, and they make excellent mudslides more

I just went to this restaurant and must say that there was nothing special about this restaurant, it's just another typical teppanyaki place. For the money, I would rather have gone to Benihana. more
