I grew up in Lakewood and have always thought that this was a wonderful place to get donuts until the other day I had went inside and this guy comes walking in from the back door and sneezes into his right hand and then comes to the front counter to get himself a box of donuts using that same hand (not to mention his hands were black like he had just gotten done working on his car) and he even had asked me if he could help me and I told him that he has just grossed me out by his actions and this lady at the front working had a ponytail that kept swinging around to the front section of all the donuts everytime she turned around to see what donut the customer wanted! No hair nets and let me just add that they go from money to food over and over without any type of sanitization! Not sure if I want to go back! Pros: convenient location Cons: not sanitary or up to food safety standards more

wasn't anything special 8/2/2009

the donuts were so greasy they dropped down, they didn't taste like anything special, the place was a dump, i'd try Pao's on sixth ave, in tacoma. way better donuts, and really great coffee as well. Pros: nothing special Cons: the donuts were way too greasy more

Best Donuts Ever!! 1/15/2009

I used to live in Lakewood and was repeatedly underwhelmed by this place from the outside. Then, a co-worker brought in some just-barely-still-warm donuts and I was converted. If you've never had a donut here, you've never had a donut. Do yourself a favor. Go here, treat yourself. You deserve it. And if you could send a dozen to NYC, I'd love you forever! Pros: the product far outweighs any potential cons. Cons: hard to see the donuts when you're there. Maybe it's changed since I was last there but probably not. more

House of Donuts - Lakewood 7/14/2004

This place has the best maple and chocolate bars you've ever tasted!!! And they are HUGE!!! Where else can you go and get your donut through a drive-through?? Ok, and it not be a Krispy creme?? These donuts have some substanance to them, not air. People know about this donut place. An aunt who lives 50 miles away knows that you can special order donut holes from them, and does so at every family reunion!! They are fabulous!! Always a friendly face at the windows too!! A++++ Pros: Great food, Good parking, Drive through more

Hidden Gem 10/24/2003

Pretty good donut selection. My faves are the banana glazed and orange glazed yeast raised donuts. Yummy. Their jelly donuts are pretty good too. Always try to stop by when visiting my folks in Lakewood. Give them a try. Pros: Not Krispy Kreme, Good Donuts more
