Loved the Southern Charm! 6/18/2014

I have been to several splendid events here over the years including an engagement party. They have a beautiful ballroom for events where live bands can set up and where we enjoyed some dancing. I really liked how the house is conveniently located on St Charles next to many hotels and the St Charles Streetcar line. The tour guide of the house reeks of Southern charm, he was so friendly and entertaining. He explained to us all the history of the home and the Madame that owns it. Apparently he is also an amazing chef! I loved the back patio where we could sit outside and enjoy the frog pond as well! I can't wait to go back. more

Attended a Wedding here and Mrs. Broel was VERY RUDE to the wedding guest. I would never recommend this place of business to ANYONE! more

Wonderful Place for a Wedding 2/13/2008

The House of Broel is a wonderful place for a wedding and reception! Ms. Bonnie Broel and her staff make you feel right at home and take care of everything you need! The food is excellent and there is a wide variety of foods to meet everyone's tastes. The members of the House of Broel team went the extra mile to make this a memorable time in our lives! When you have such a wonderful blend of good people, good drink, great food, and such a beautiful home how could you possibly go wrong! more

House Of Broel is located Uptown on St. Charles near downtown. I expected a lot from House Of Broel and it did not have the selection I was hoping for. I didn’t find any dresses that I liked here for my wedding. Neither my wedding gown nor bridesmaid dresses. Way too cramped too. more

  • Welcome to House of Broels Victorian Mansion and Wedding Chapel, an architectural gem that is an impressive feat of engineering. In addition to being beautiful, the house is also very interesting. The original two story home built in 1850 was elevated in 1884 by Wm. Renaud, who added the magnificent first floor as a spacious setting for family weddings, receptions and parties.
