what a dump!!! 10/7/2011

If I owned a dog,I would not have let it stay here. The rooms are outdated.Have no secutity to speak of. Sleep is impossible due to the parking garage so close. They allow anyone & everyone at all hours to scream & yell in the halls. Would never go near this place again.Prices may seem good but there are so many other places to stay. Just look around in the lobby & you will understand .... more

Cheap price - you pay for what you get. 9/13/2008

It's been a while since I stayed here and I realize this review is a bit late, but it was my one and only stay. Although the prices are fairly cheap, you can find better places to stay price to price (IE Excalibur). The rooms when I was there (2002) were fairly dated. We were awoken to someone on the emergency P.A. system with a speaker in the room at 6:00am that lasted at least an hour. I am not even sure they realized they were on the P.A. system with the manner they were talking. The rooms were basic and bland, and the hotel had very little to offer as far as entertainment, food, or casino. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay that is almost dead center of the Strip with cheap prices and little extras to offer then this place is for you. Pros: Cheap prices Cons: Cheap everything else. more

Poor quality hotel, not worth the price 3/21/2008

I stayed here on a family vacation with my parents and sisters. A month in advance my father booked a room for him and my mother and a seperate room for myself and my sisters that was supposed to be 1 non-smoking room with a king bed and 1 non-smoking with 2 queen beds. The hotel required that he prepay for them. When we got there, the hotel instead gave us 2 rooms with 1 queen bed each without informing us that they had changed our reservations. When we got to our rooms and discovered they were wrong, we went to request a change for the second room. At first, they refused to change the rooms claiming they had no rooms left, and wouldn't explain why they hadn't upheld our earlier request. After half an hour of arguing with them they gave us another room with 2 queen beds only to have us discover it was a smoking room. Since I have asthma, this was an unacceptable solution. We had to argue with them again about what we had requested and for a $100 fee, they allowed us to change rooms again. The whole process took over three hours, keeping us up until 4:00 AM, we never received an apology, or any componsation for the trouble they caused. The rooms were dingy, the wall paper was peeling, and the restaurants were fairly expensive for poor quality food we received (at one restaurant there was hair in my food). I would not recommend staying here more

Never Again 2/28/2008

i've stayed at the IP throughout the years but the last time I stayed there it was the worst experience ever. It seems it gets worse and worse everytime I'd go but I would grin and bear it because of the great rates. The rooms seem dirtier than ever. They need to remodel the entire joint. The worst part is the staff. the dealers are mean, the bartenders are mean and the cab guy is well an.... let me tell you what happened. I waited in the cab line to catch a cab with two other friends. the guy that opens the door and lets you in the cab hails a cab for us. as my party and I are boarding the taxi, i am reaching in my pocket to pull out a few bucks to give to this guy for his ""service."" well the guy has the nerve to close the door and stick his head through the passenger window, where im sitting, and sarcastically tell the taxi driver, ""thanks for the tip, man. i appreciate it, thanks alot."" obviously directed at me. well, i put those 2 bucks back into my pocket and told the driver to drive off. i couldnt believe this guy. im sure he is still there, white guys, very white kinda funny looking. Pros: cheap rates Cons: service, atmosphere more

It's a great value considering you are in the middle of the strip 11/8/2007

I had wasn't familiar with the hotels in Las Vegas before the trip last August, it was my first time there, so I only knew the more famous hotels. I really liked this place because it has what they call ""Dealertainers"" the blackjack dealers are celebrity impersonators and good ones at that. These are the same people that also star in their very famous Legends in Concert show. They also have a car show inside with some interesting stuff, like the car from Gone in 60 Seconds was there, and a limo that was used for 2 different presidents. There was alot just inside the hotel. They even have a Luaia (sp) twice a week which was a really cool event. They have sports betting and of course the regualar casino attractions. There are a few restaurants inside also. There are balconoy's on the room which is kind of cool because we had a view of the pool. There are drawbacks the building and rooms aren't that nice but they aren't horrible either. The only thing I didn't like is the elevators were always so slow that there was like 100 people every time trying to get an elevator. The overall experience is good it was good price and not a bad hotel, and the best thing is that i't right in the center of the strip across from Ceasers Palace right in the middle of the strip. Pros: all the on site things to do plus the location is great. Cons: the slow elevators and basically getting around the hotel (not the casino) but the hotel with ease. more

Prety good value for the price 8/14/2007

I had never heard of this hotel before I stayed here. It was a pleasant surprise, kind of. The decor, especially the exterior of the hotel, is very tacky. On the other hand, the room was very spacious and cozy, which was a surprise. The hotel was pretty easy to navigate, but the elevators to the rooms were far from the main entrance and very, very slow. Something else worth mentioning is the great location this place is situated at. Right in the middle of the strip, across the street from the famous Caesar's Palace. Good shopping was also on every side of the hotel, go right and there was the Fashion Show Mall, go left and there were the Miracle Mile Shops, go across the street and there was the upscale Forum Shops of Caesar's. The great location for the low price of the hotel is a good enough reason to stay at the Imperial Palace. Pros: Good location Cons: slow elevators, decor more

Good Value for the Price 3/1/2007

We picked this hotel for the afforable prices and great strip location. It was a good choice for those reasons. The room was basic but it was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and decent. The only complaint was the long wait for the elevators -- very frustrating. Pros: Cleanliness, Price, Location Cons: Slow Elevators more

Terrible customer service 1/25/2007

We stayed at the IP because of the great location and great price. Overall, I agree with most reviews in that it is tacky and outdated. But I could deal with all of that if the service wasn't so horrible. Upon check in we were told that there weren't any rooms and to return in 3 hours when our room would be ready. When we went back we were told that it still wasn't clean and they had 'no idea' when it would be ready. I would not recommend booking this hotel unless you are going to arrive after 6 pm. They told us that the 3pm check in is just an estimate and that they don't have to provide a room at 3 pm. Unfortunately that's not what you want to hear when you're standing in their lobby after a long flight, carrying your luggage. Pros: Great location Cons: Terrible customer service by front desk more

Worst accomodation in Vegas! 1/16/2007

Plenty of tacky crowd...it represents the old Vegas...and the rooms are so poor! Of course you are on the strip but it is really impossible to slip. You have a disco club too close to the rooms. Pros: on the strip Cons: tacky crowd, loud, said more
