Located on the banks of the San Francisco Bay, Horatio's in San Leandro offers great views. Horatio's is also one of the few upscale restaurants in working-class San Leandro. Horatio's offers a bar, and often times live jazz music.
The inside of the restaurant is designed to look like the inside of a ship. It has rotaries, nets designed out of rope and models of ships. The atmosphere is surprisingly casual for an upscale restaurant. The service at Horatio's is good, what you should expect from a high-priced restaurant along the water.
Appetizers are about ten dollars, give or take a few bucks. I tried the avocado dip. I forget the exact name it was called but it was very delicious.
The prices for entrées at Horatio's range from $18 to $30. On the menu are a lot of seafood items, such as salmon, swordfish, lobster, you name it. There are also a lot of meat entrées, should you choose to go that route. I ordered a steak, and it was good. Very tender, it almost melted in my mouth.
Getting to Horatio's is easy. It's located at the San Leandro Marina and there is plenty of free parking.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Horatio's and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great night out in San Leandro.
