Completely Trustworthy Shop 3/9/2012

In the Thousand Oaks area, this is the best place to go for Honda service. I've been bringing my cars here for nearly 20 years, and I recommend it to everyone I know with a Honda or Acura. Bruce and his team are true experts with all the awards, certificates and loyal customer following to prove it. They have never tried to oversell to me or make recommendations for unnecessary work. I can always bring my cars to them with confidence. more

TRUSTWORTHY SHOP 2/21/2012

I've been coming to Westlake Independent with my MDX for several years now, and I'll never go anywhere else. It's nice to know trustworthy mechanics I can send my mother and wife to with confidence that they will be taken care of. Other shops may say they're trustworthy, but this place is the real deal. more

Best Acura Shop 2/14/2012

Best Acura shop near Agoura Hills! I've been bringing my cars to Craig and Bruce for 14 years now, and I can't imagine ever taking a chance with someone else. These guys are totally honest and trustworthy plus reasonably priced. They're willing to take time to explain what's needed thoroughly and even show me on the car when needed. I always see awards in their ads and at the front counter, and let me tell you, this place has earned every award. Simply the best! more

BEST SHOP NEAR THOUSAND OAKS! 2/10/2012

This is the best place to bring your car anywhere near Thousand Oaks. After having bad experiences at a few other repair shops in the area (can you gues where?!) this is the only place I trust. Plus, I always save money here more

Wish I'd Found This Place Sooner! 2/10/2012

I've lived in Westlake Village all my life and never knew about Westlake Independent before. I wish I had known sooner! You wouldn't believe the shoddy work done on my Accord at a place called Rick's Japanese in Thousand Oaks. Chad and the guys at Westlake were so professional and finally took care of the noise my car has been making for months. And this shop is so close by, too. I'll definitely be coming back when my car needs service! Thanks, Chad!!! more

"Best in Show" - I (actually my whole family) have been doing business with this shop for more than two decades, and there’s a reason. You will not find a better place to take your Honda or Acura - period. You want less expensive, or should I say “cheaper”, I’m sure you can find it. Remember, you get what you pay for. If you want first-rate service at a fair price, you now know where to go. I feel confident that any bad reviews you see will be from the customers that none of us would want to deal with. more

Competent work, but grossly overpriced 6/1/2010

I've had a couple of jobs done here on my older hondas because the place is conveniently located. However, I believe they are grossly overpriced (which is the norm for the Westlake Vlg area). For major work I will take my car to the Valley where there are many more mechanics and one does not feel held hostage without a car for a day. more

Best Repair center in Tousands Oaks 5/20/2010

The world would be a better place if everyone ran there business as you do. I don’t know which is better your staff or the quality of the work. Your advisor Craig was very professional and has an endless knowledge base for Honda problems and repairs. My old 94 Accord is finally running like a champ again. The other shops were incompetent and always looking to take advantage of someone with an older vehicle with a lot of miles. I followed Craig’s advice, and needless to say, spent half the cost, eliminated unnecessary work and finally got it’s running like new again. I wish I knew about your shop earlier. Westlake Independent demonstrated a reputation for high customer care and satisfaction. The knowledge, honesty, fairness and ability to accurately diagnose a problem carry a lot of weight in my book. I will definitely be referring other Honda folks to your shop. Thanks again, you guys are great!! Alan more

Service you can trust!! 4/26/2010

The guys in the office are professional and very nice. As a woman you feel you can trust their advice versus at other auto shops. They told me what was needed for my car (verbally and on paper), arranged for a rental car that I needed so I could get to work, and it was ready when my work day ended. I will definitely be going back for regular service for both our cars now!! more

I've been taking my cars to Westlake Independent for years. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. It's can be difficult to find a trustworthy car repair. Since I found Bruce at Westlake Independent, I will only own a Honda. more

Great Service 4/23/2010

I've been taking my Ridgeline here and will never go anywhere else. These guys are the real deal - trustworthy, honest experts. I was waiting in their office for a while recently and really had the chance to check out their TV office presentation. It's amazing how many certifications and awards this shop has earned. I've never seen a shop with so many certificates and trophies before. more

BEST PLACE TO BRING YOUR CAR! 6/5/2007

I've been bringing my cars to Westlake Independent for almost 20 years, and I'll only buy a Honda or Acura specifically so I can bring it here. They do everything you'll ever need: service, repairs, body shop, sales, rentals, tires. You name it, they do it! Pricing is reasonable, and the guys are totally trustworthy and honest. Thorough. I thought I was getting ripped off when I got a second opinion. The owner of Westlake Independent inspected my car personally to be sure his mechanics were honest and it was my 2nd opinion that was wrong! more
