When my great aunt had a stroke and became bedridden, we were left with the horrible job of trying to get someone to come in and help take care of her. We didn't want much- just some peri-care, and an occasional respite for her sister (85 years old) who was her primary caregiver and myself. Well, Home Health "Professionals" were the agency that we tried and they were awful! The people they sent out were not reliable, and when people didn't show up and I called we were given no satisfaction. I finally quit an agency all together and did it myself. The problem is that the work is hard and the pay is lousy, so it's hard to find someone who really cares. I would highly recommend that you forego even trying Home Health Professionals and go to a different agency. Hopefully, you'll have better luck than I did.
