The hotel is located in a secluded alley off Gold Street, which is rather dark at night & can be quite intimidating. The nearby Fulton station doesn't offer any consolidation as well - it is one of the dirtiest subway station in Manhattan. If you like the night life, choose other hotels in Midtown or Times Sq area instead. This hotel really is better suited to customers working in the Wall St district (which is really nearby)
On a plus side, many attractions are nearby (NYSE, WTC, South Street Seaport, Liberty, Chinatown, etc) and within walking distance. Problem is really when you have to go out at night - it can be quite intimidating.
Room wise, I am quite pleased. It is not the most superb, but with desktop & net access in every room, who can complain?
Cons: Dark alley at night
