Hing Loon - fresh veg & seafood 5/1/2009

You have to try the "Pei-Par" tofu (includes spinach and special sauce for the tofu) Also awesome: salt and pepper squid beef and chinese pickled vegetables Regulars hit this place multiple times a week. No shortage of variety and freshness. Staff is friendly and this place is very popular - I've been eating here for more than 10 years. a rare gem more

Best Congee in town... 9/27/2005

Hing Loon has the best congee (rice porridge) in Seattle - my favorite is the 1000 year old egg & salted pork. Their wonton noodle soup is also very good, and the salted fish and diced chicken fried rice is perfect every time. I always come here for my Chinese "diner food" fix. Service is friendly and usually pretty fast and most dishes are extremely reasonably priced, if not just plain cheap! more

My Favorite Chinese... 8/18/2005

Hing Loon is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the ID. Hing Loon has a very diverse menu with over 200 items including various noodles, congee, seafood, and hotpots. In addition to the menu, the restaurants walls and pillars are covered with other dishes that are not on the menu. Luckily for those who do not read Chinese there are English translations. I have eaten here over 20 times and have not been disappointed once. This is some inexpensive incredibly satisfying food. Hing Loon is also open late for your late night dining. Try the beef tendon noodle soup one of my favorites. more

gOOd porridge to make u feel better 8/10/2005

If you are ever sick like having a cold.. then this is the place to come to, and there is also Chinese donut that comes along great with it. The salt and pepper fried chicken is great too, and every time you're done eating, they give you a tasty sesame little donut....nyummmyy..!! more

Excellent Chinese food 7/26/2005

Hing Loon is one of the best restaurants in the ID. The people are extremely nice, and the food is wonderful (mainly Cantonese). Try ordering from the many, many signs on the wall, or use the menu. Some items of particular interest: (1) The wonton soup broth is out of this world, and the wontons are very good too; (2) Beef chow udon with black pepper is spicy and unusual; (3) any of their clay pot dishes, such as eggplant and salt fish hot pot. more
