Hilton and Towers has great east views 3/18/2006

The Hilton and Towers is a nice older hotel with lavish public areas that seem to be busy all the time. It is a large complex, so you may have to switch elevators if you are on a high floor and get on the wrong elevator bank. The rooms are decent enough, and the views facing east are spectacular so ask for that side. more

Awesome 3/9/2006

I went here for a buddies wedding reception last summer and it was a load of fun. This place is not only optimally located, but the hotel itself is awesome. They had great food here and the waiters were fast at bringing it out nice and warm. Also, we partied hard until late in the night and the hotel was really accomodating. The banquet was given to us until really late in the night so we got to enjoy it thoroughly. The rooms were also great and comfy. Great place to have a wedding reception! more

Great Chicago Hotel 1/13/2006

This is a classic old hotel that dates from 1927. Of course it has had multi million dollar remodelings, so the facilities are up to date, but it still has that feel of a classy old building. And it is massive. It has zillions of rooms, and bunches of restaurants and shops on the ground level. Over the years I have attended events here, heard jazz in one of the bars, delivered pizza to the folks in the rooms, etc. Of course part of the history of this place was the riots in '68 which took place right outside but that is ancient history to most readers, right? more

Awesome beds 6/22/2005

My family and I stayed for 2 nights during the AVON walk downtown. The beds are the best. They are supper soft with down pillows you just sink into. You will get the best night of sleep in your life at a hotel. Parking is expensive and so is the stay at the hotel. They have lots of ammenities and a restaurant inside. more
